Italian shipyard Canados have announced plans for their brand new Canados 919 Gladiator vessel. As part of their popular RD series, the new 27.8 metre day cruiser is said to be the fastest vessel of its size on the market and will be capable of impressive top speeds of 52 knots.

Drawing inspiration from the automotive industry, the new Gladiator 919 RD Series features an exceptional exterior design which showcases a double curve and an airflow deflecting windshield which can withstand incredible speeds.

The 27.8 metre vessel is powered by three MAN 2000hp engines or a twin-engine MTU installation, depending on individual owner requirements. Gyro-stabilisation comes as standard with the new model but there is also an option to add conventional propeller shafts.

With such performances, she will be, bar none, the fastest production luxury super day cruiser on the market.

In addition to a phenomenal top speed of 52 knots, the day cruiser can also maintain optimal cruising speeds of 44 knots. For guests who want to relax during voyages, designers have added extra security features to make them feel safe. Structural bulwarks have been constructed to allow safe movement throughout the vessel during movement and specially designed recess sunpads have been installed on the foredeck for additional safety.

Onboard living is full of innovative solutions to make the most of the available space. Afternoons in the great outdoors can be enjoyed aft of the cockpit with an additional nine square metres of sunpads and a comfortable seating area complete with coffee table. Al fresco dining can also be enjoyed here with an exterior dining table and side bar.

Owners can choose between a three and four cabin layout, both options including a full beam master cabin, which has its own vanity unit and sofa.

Scheduled to be launched in 2020, the new Gladiator 919 RD Series is set to be presented to the general public during the Monaco and Genoa yacht shows in 2020.

No doubt the Gladiator model will become one of the most exciting yachts for sale.
