Extra Yachts' first X99 Fast yacht is all set to premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival as the yard announces she has begun her outfitting phase.
The 30m (98ft) superyacht is due to be delivered to her Owner this summer, and will then make her official debut at the prestigious boat show in September.
The yard has previously referred to the model as “a combination of modernity, large volumes and comfort in the name of fun and sociability”, and it was her dynamic and contemporary layout that attracted her Owner who is said to love conviviality and direct contact with the sea.
Extra Yachts are part of the Palumbo Superyachts brand, and it is at Palumbo’s Ancona yard where the X99 Fast is being outfitted. Palumbo, along with Studio Arnaboldi, is also responsible for the yacht’s naval architecture whilst the exterior and interior design comes from Guida Design and Luca Dini Design and Architecture respectively.
One of the standout features of the motor yacht is the large cockpit area of over 75 square meters (807 sq. ft) with fold-out balconies. It also boasts a generously sized Jacuzzi at bow and a large flybridge and space for a 4m (13ft) tender in the starboard side tender garage. Four cabins provide accommodation for up to 10 guests.
When it comes to performance twin 2600hp MTU diesel engines give a maximum speed of 34 knots and a cruising speed of 28 knots.
Extra Yachts were born as a brand of Palumbo Superyachts in 2017 and now includes six models in its fleet: X76, X86, X93, X99, X120 Alloy and X130. The X99 is the yard’s second largest model, usurped only by its 39.8m Extra X130.
