Sunreef 55 Ultima Wins BLT Design Award Ahead of 2025 Launch

With its launch from Sunreef's new shipyard in Ras Al Khaimah, in the UAE, fast approaching, the Sunreef Ultima 55 has won its latest accolade for innovative design and sustainable features.

The Sunreef 55 Ultima, built by Sunreef Yachts has recently been honored with the BLT Design Award 2024 in the category of Construction Product Design, earning the accolade for its pioneering approach to yacht design and sustainable features.

The new Sunreef 55 Ultima is crafted to minimize energy consumption without compromising its performance, offering a perfect blend of speed, stability, and luxury.

One of the key highlights of the weekending boat for sale is its vast semi-open saloon. This area provides an expansive space for relaxation and entertainment, allowing guests to enjoy panoramic views of the sea while basking in comfort. Complementing the saloon is a spacious aft deck equipped with two fold-down bulwark platforms, which extend the relaxation area into a beach club-like space, typically reserved for much larger yachts.

The Sunreef Ultima 55 has an overall length of 17m (55ft) and a beam of 5m (18ft) with the platforms raised. When the platforms are lowered, the beam expands to an impressive 8m (25ft), offering even more space for guests. The new yacht can be configured with either three or four cabins, catering to the needs of different buyers. Additional options include a crew cabin for one and a hydraulic platform for the tender, ensuring convenience and flexibility.

The Sunreef 55 Ultima is part of the Sunreef Ultima range, known for its modern, adventure-oriented styling. The yacht features reverse bows, forward-raked windscreens, and cockpits with large roof overhangs, giving it a distinctive and sleek appearance. These design elements are not just about aesthetics; they also contribute to the yacht's performance and efficiency on the water.

Performance-wise, the Sunreef 55 Ultima is powered by twin 350kW electric motors (and/or twin 600hp engines), which are fed by a combination of a powerful battery bank and diesel generators. This setup allows the yacht to reach a top speed of approximately 35 knots, with a range of about 180 nautical miles at 25 knots.
