Sunseeker has made the move in response to calls for changes to accommodate the Ocean Club, which offers those on board a significant new space close to the water.
Promising owners the opportunity to be as close to the water as possible, the new Ocean Club concept from Sunseeker is proving a major selling point which has certainly got the industry talking.
At roughly four times the size of other competitive platforms, the 6m x 4m platform takes on the mannerisms of a private beach with an integrated BBQ plus an overhead rain shower and AV options.
In order to reflect the change in design direction, the British yard is creating a new range using some of the existing models but with new names, accurately representing the new concept. Another notable difference is the models will now reflect the length in metres rather than feet.
So far there are three models to be renamed which are;
- 161 Yacht becomes Ocean Club 50
- 133 Yacht becomes Ocean Club 42
- 87 Yacht becomes Ocean Club Ninety
Our all-new Ocean Club concept heralds an entirely new design direction for us, offering customers a significant new space close to the water and transforming the traditional bathing platform design. We felt this should be recognised in the model name and have also made some other select revisions to our nomenclature to ensure they better represent the size of our new yachts.

As well as offering substantially more space than other comparative beach club facilities, the reimagined transom also offers a hydraulic ladder gangway. Access into the water is also made easy with the hydraulic bathing platform which doubles up as a launching pad.
Water toys and tenders are in abundance on board with plenty of storage space, thanks to the new design layout. A large jet-tender, top of the range jet-skis, Seabobs and more can all be launched directly into the water in one swift motion.
Further adding to the new flexible space, the X-TEND convertible seating customises the layout throughout a voyage, giving owners full control of their onboard Sunseeker experience.
