On Deck

Beginning by stepping aboard the yacht via the bathing platform, there is an optional extra of a barbecue feature located being there. The cockpit area has a very sociable layout due to the strategic placement of seating.

Up to the flybridge, there is another barbecue area, a fridge, and a large seating area under a huge hardtop. The helm position has a comfortable seat that can be turned around for extra forward seating. The helm has a commanding view, which is great for maneuvering the boat.

Exploring the bow area, the glazing above the forward VIP cabin can be seen, with two sunbathing backrests, and an anchor handling kit.

Interior

There are wide opening doors leading to a galley-aft layout with a fridge freezer. Moving up a couple of steps, he tours the saloon area. The foldable table, lift mechanism for a TV, and double helm seat with Garmin screens displaying engine instrumentation and charts are all impressive features. There are angled steps leading downstairs to the VIP guest cabin, which can be converted into two single beds or one double bed, depending on the need.

Nick praises the ample light provided by the hatch and large skylight in this cabin, as well as the accessible day heads with a separate shower stall. He also appreciates the big windows and additional skylight in cabin three. The master cabin is decently sized for a 52-foot boat, with standing headroom above the bed, an ensuite with a separate shower stall, and a very impressive walk-in wardrobe.

Performance

The engine compartment has a pair of Volvo Penta IPS 600 engines.  This is a pod drive system with a top speed of around 28 knots and a cruising speed around 22 knots. The generator is here and many other accessible components.

Crew Accommodation

The crew cabin is quite small for a 52-foot boat and the owner has opted to have this area as storage here. There is a clever two-way access to the crew cabin, from the inside of the boat and the bathing platform.

In Summary

Nick seems to appreciate the Beneteau Monte Carlo 52 for its thoughtful design, practical features, and the space it offers.
