On Deck
The Horizon FD100 has a vast aft deck, feeling more like a 36.6m or 39.6m (120ft or 130ft) cockpit area despite being a 30.5m (100ft) yacht. The space accommodates freestanding furniture, allowing for flexible arrangements such as a dining setup. There is a bar area with bronze-coloured corner detailing, an ice maker, and refrigeration. A TV drops down from the ceiling, retracting flush when not in use. A day head is located just inside the door, conveniently positioned for those using the cockpit or swimming nearby.
The upper deck provides a large outdoor dining area and a versatile bar section with a crank mechanism to adjust counter height. There is an ice maker, sink, and refrigeration. A sunbathing area is positioned on one side, creating a relaxing spot.
The sun deck includes a hot tub and a large sunbathing area with panoramic views. A hard top provides shade, while storage areas, refrigeration, an ice maker, and a sink cater to outdoor relaxation. The yacht’s radar, satellite domes, antennas, navigation lights, and GPS equipment are also housed here.
The forward deck features a spacious outdoor seating area with refrigeration and an ice maker. Storage areas for canopies and equipment are integrated into the design. The anchor handling area includes the anchor chain locker, bollards, and related equipment. Thick gauge rails provide a sense of security while moving around.
The beach club is housed in a large clamshell-style transom that lifts via hydraulic struts, creating an open, water-level relaxation space. A TV is mounted for entertainment, and seating allows guests to enjoy water activities from a comfortable position. The yacht’s tender is stored on a high-low platform that can be lowered into the water for launch and retrieval.
Interior Accommodation
The saloon features floor-to-ceiling windows with sliding doors on both sides, allowing for natural ventilation or an air-conditioned space. A bar area with a wine cooler and a sideboard for crockery and cutlery is included. The dining area is adjacent to the saloon.
The galley is open but can be enclosed with sliding panels. It includes substantial refrigeration, a trash compactor, a dishwasher, and a central island. There is access from the galley directly to the side deck.
The helm station is a well-equipped bridge with Garmin multifunction displays for radar, charts, and the yacht’s camera system. It features bow and stern thruster controls, engine controls, an autopilot system, and Zipwake trim tabs. A dedicated operating system panel manages various yacht functions. Side doors on both port and starboard allow easy deck access. A partition can be raised to separate the helm from the rest of the upper deck area, ensuring uninterrupted night navigation.
Owner's Cabin
The main deck owner's cabin is spacious, featuring a combination of wood and upholstered panels. It includes large wardrobes, a dressing table, and AV equipment. The ensuite has two access points leading to a shared central shower. Overhead hatches provide natural light, with blinds for privacy. Large hull windows enhance the sense of space.
Guest Accommodation
Four additional guest cabins are located on the lower deck. Two mirrored double cabins have AV equipment, pocket doors for privacy, and ensuite bathrooms with frosted glass partitions.
A twin guest cabin includes two single beds and a Pullman berth, accommodating up to three guests. It has a hanging locker, access panels for air conditioning, and an ensuite bathroom.
The forward VIP cabin occupies a generous space with an ensuite bathroom featuring a large shower. It has ample storage, including drawers under the bed and a cedar-lined wardrobe
Crew Accommodation
The crew quarters include a mess area with cooking facilities, refrigeration, and a microwave. The three crew cabins have bunk beds and a shared bathroom with a separate shower. The captain’s cabin is more private, featuring AV equipment, storage, and an ensuite bathroom. Additional laundry facilities are available in the crew area.
Performance
The yacht is powered by twin Caterpillar C32A diesel engines, each producing 1,900 horsepower. It reaches a top speed of 20 knots, a fast cruising speed of 16.5 knots, and an efficient cruising speed of 10 knots, providing a range of over 2,000 nautical miles.
The engine room includes generators, a water maker, air conditioning units, and hydraulic systems for the thrusters. The lighting system is like the neon effect on cars, adding a stylish touch to the mechanical space.
