Sunseeker Manhattan 68 Yachts For Sale
A big, powerful flybridge yacht, a Manhattan 68 for sale replaces the Manhattan 66, adding several new features in key areas. Designed for Owner-operation or crew, the Manhattan 68 will hit 30-knots with the option of shaft or pod drives.
The 68 follows the Manhattan 66’s four-cabin, galley aft layout and uses the same planing hull, but it also makes some important changes. Shifting the private Owner stateroom stairwell forward makes room for a separate dining table, while the Owner’s cabin itself is completely redesigned. An optional three-cabin, galley down layout is also available with a massive salon. In the standard layout, the salon is still of a good size, those deep glass sections adding spectacle for the U-shape sofa, a useful raised mini-lounge forward allowing guests to spread out.
Reasons to Buy a Manhattan 68
The Manhattan 68 is a straightforward upgrade of the 66, using the same hull and floorplan but reconfiguring the salon to deliver an aft galley and dining area in place of the old kitchen area that ran across the beam. Away from the physical changes, the real win for buyers is an improved level of finish across the interior and decks, including lighting designs, cabinetry and fabrics. The flybridge, when finished with its optional graphite hardtop feels particularly smart.
The standard 1000hp MAN shaftdrives can be beefed up to twin 1200s. The extra horsepower looks more about cruising ability than top speed, with both options hitting around 30knots. The MANs can come with joystick control with the addition of a stern thruster, whereas the 1000hp IPS1350 option has it as standard, but there is a premium to pay, the pod drives adding some 10% to the base price.
