First announced to the press in 2019 she went into development in 2021 and the first model rolled off the production line in 2023. She was unveiled to the general public at the 2022 Boot Düsseldorf where she made her World Debut and made her American Debut at the Miami International Boat Show in 2022. She was a finalist in 2023 in the 'Sportscruisers (over 45ft)' category at the Motor Boat Awards.

She can comfortably maintain a cruising speed of 25 knots via her twin 900hp Volvo Penta D13-IPS1200 engines. In terms of range, the Sunseeker 65 has a standard range of 750 nautical miles (nm).
