The 45C was built by Viking Yachts making full use of their in-house design team's expertise. The 14.88m/48'10" flybridge boat constructed in fibreglass can sleep up to six guests across two cabins. She was available with only one option for inboard engines.

Production of the first generation Viking Yachts 45C started in 1987 and ran for over 6 years. The second and final generation Viking Yachts 45C went into production in 2003.
