Best of Boats (BoB) Awards
The Best of Boats Awards are based around user-orientated categories and focus on the practical needs of yacht owners and boaters. The awards are held in Germany in November during the Boat and Fun Berlin Boat Show.
The event was created in 2014 by a group of boat journalists from around the world who shared a common ground of testing boats and finding solutions to meet the needs of yacht Owners.
Promoted as being focused on the 'boaters' point of view, four categories are covered by the awards ceremony and each award is decided upon following a set of rigorous boat tests by the jury.
Bavaria SR36 - 2022 BoB finalist
Hundreds of boats are tested each year by the panel of boat testers around the globe and only then are the final nominations chosen.
The four categories of awards presented during the gala evening are;
- Best for Beginners
- Best for Family
- Best for Fun
- Best for Travel
As a well-established award ceremony, the annual event invites around 18 finalists with a panel of 16 judges making the final decision.
