The European Powerboat Awards 2021 took place on 22 January, with the award ceremony being held online due to the effects of the coronavirus pandemic.
Usually an event that ties in with the opening ceremonies of the annual Boot Dusseldorf show, the 2021 European Powerboat Awards were scheduled to commence online due to ongoing influences surrounding the global coronavirus pandemic.
There was still an abundance of tension as leading figures in the superyacht industry gathered around screens to eagerly await the results. Four awards were on offer for motorboats up to 25 feet, up to 35 feet, up to 45 feet and over 45 feet. Plus a fifth category was also reserved for displacement boats.
Launched in 2005, the European Powerboat Awards have become an integral part of the annual yachting calendar, recognizing the best in the industry in regards to performance, value for money and, of course, craftmanship.
