Design & Construction
Designed around a semi-displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 7.68m beam and a 2.18m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 262 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Launched in July 2023 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in October 2023.
Exterior Design
Double Up's length of 32.99 meters and a beam of 7.67 meters provide a stable and spacious platform for various activities. The transom wall folds down to create a beach club area, offering direct access to the water. This feature also reveals the tender storage area, which can accommodate additional water toys.
Access to the aft deck is facilitated by staircases on either side, leading to an area with ample seating and smaller tables. The aft deck is expansive, allowing for outdoor relaxation and entertainment. The side boarding gates enhance accessibility, and the deck is equipped with speakers throughout for added convenience and enjoyment.
The yacht's design includes a fold-out balcony terrace connected to the main salon, with floor-to-ceiling glass doors that can be opened to seamlessly connect indoor and outdoor spaces. The functional layout ensures easy movement throughout the vessel, with clear access routes to various parts of the yacht. The bow area includes a teak table and sun pad, with shades for comfort.
The sun deck features freestanding seating that can be rearranged, a bar area with essential amenities, and a built-in hot tub surrounded by sun pads, allowing guests to relax and enjoy the surroundings.
Interior Design
The main salon, accessible through an automatic power door, features an L-shaped seating area accompanied by a mounted television. A standout feature is the fold-out balcony terrace connected to the main salon, accessible through a large, floor-to-ceiling glass door, which opens to create a spacious environment.
The dining area, located forward of the main salon, is designed to accommodate formal gatherings, with an elegant setup suitable for showcasing during events such as boat shows. The integration of the dining area with the main salon enhances the open-plan feel of the interior.
The bridge is designed with modern navigation in mind, featuring large screens that offer comprehensive visibility. The use of woodwork throughout this area provides a consistent design theme, which extends to the captain's cabin located just behind the bridge.
The Sky Lounge, positioned aft of the bridge, offers a U-shaped seating area and a fold-down TV, providing an additional relaxation space that leads out to the bridge deck. This area is equipped with powered doors and an alfresco dining arrangement, ensuring versatility and comfort.
Accommodation
Double Up yacht offers accommodation for up to 11 guests across five cabins. The main deck features an owner suite that is notably spacious, equipped with a large desk, TV, and an elegantly designed headboard. Storage is plentiful with a walk-in closet and additional storage spaces. The en-suite bathroom includes a rainfall shower, teak wood accents, and a stone bench, providing a comfortable private retreat for the owner.
Guest accommodation is located on a lower deck, comprising four cabins. Among these, one cabin includes a Pullman berth to accommodate the eleventh guest. The cabins are designed to be roomy, with built-in closets and en-suite bathrooms. Two guest cabins contain queen-sized beds, while the fifth cabin features two single beds and the Pullman berth. Each cabin is equipped with large windows and modern amenities to ensure a pleasant stay.
She is also capable of carrying up to 6 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel MAN (V12 LE466 CR) 1,400hp engines running at 2300rpm, motor yacht Double Up is capable of reaching a top speed of 15 knots, and comfortably cruises at 12 knots. With her 20,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 1,850 nautical miles at 10 knots. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.
