Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 8.85m beam and a 2.53m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 432 GT (Gross Tonnes).

This was the first yacht built on the 38m EXP design. Launched in June 2021 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months.

Exterior Design

Emocean features large, panoramic windows that illustrate a profound understanding of the explorer's desire to be immersed in their surroundings, even when aboard. Modern advancements in materials have enabled the incorporation of these expansive glass panels that maintain the vessel's integrity while offering unobstructed views of the ocean's expanse.

The yacht's sleek profile is accentuated by her round bilge hull, designed for performance and endurance. The bulbous bow hints at Emocean's voyaging capabilities, while the hull's gradual flattening towards the stern accommodates robust propellers and rudders, ensuring both stability and maneuverability. The presence of a skeg further reinforces this stability, providing course steadiness that seasoned mariners will appreciate.

Ventilation trunks are thoughtfully placed at the central part of the main deck, a departure from the traditional aft positioning, demonstrating an innovative approach to design that marries technical requirements with architectural intrigue.

Her aesthetic, while undeniably sophisticated, does not shout for attention but rather whispers of the adventures that lie ahead. Emocean is a vessel for those who seek to journey beyond the horizon, all the while ensconced in the pinnacle of nautical luxury.

Interior Design

The main deck lounge greets guests with its expansive windows that invite the outside in, creating an unbroken connection with the sea. Here, the use of reflective surfaces, such as smoked mirrors, not only amplifies the natural light but also captures and echoes the dynamic seascape, ensuring that the ocean remains an ever-present element of the yacht's interior narrative.

Central to this philosophy of transparency is the remarkable skylight feature. Aligned panes of glass cascade light from the sundeck down into the lower deck lobby, imbuing the vessel with a vertical continuity that is both visually striking and soul-stirring. This concept reaches its zenith in the upper deck, where a section of the flooring is crafted from glass, offering exhilarating views to the main deck below and creating a sensation of walking on water.

The interior motif is characterized by its understated luxury and a palette of neutrals that evoke an air of tranquil sophistication. The selection of materials is a conscious exercise in restraint; clay-colored oak graces the walls, while smoked oak accentuates key features such as the striking wine cellar. The interplay of matte and gloss lacquers in complementary beige tones introduces a subtle dynamism to the interior, enhancing the sense of space.

In an eloquent expression of the owner's lifestyle and ethical choices, the yacht eschews the use of leather, opting instead for eco-friendly materials. The rugs, made from Econyl, demonstrate a commitment to sustainability without compromising on comfort or style.

The dining room emerges as a grand stage for entertainment, with a majestic dining table seating 10 at its heart. The open-plan space is framed by sliding glass doors that dissolve the boundaries between the interior and the sea. The incorporation of the main staircase into the dining area, with its glass-clad, floating resin stairs, further reinforces the yacht's architectural fluidity.

On the upper deck, the saloon transitions into a private retreat designed for relaxation. A plush sofa faces a large television screen, offering a sanctuary for unwinding, complemented by a bar that seamlessly integrates into the space. The aft upper deck, with its versatile furnishings and a crane that doubles as a bar, epitomizes the yacht's adaptability, catering to both leisure and practical needs.

Accommodation

Accommodating up to 10 guests, Emocean features a well-appointed layout that includes five luxurious cabins. The centerpiece of the yacht's guest accommodation is the master cabin, which is distinguished by an atypical division that adds a layer of privacy and convenience. A sliding pocket door allows the starboard side of the room, which includes a fixed balcony, to be closed off. This thoughtful design enables the owner to enjoy the fresh sea air or tend to work in the adjacent office without disturbing their partner. The master suite also features a his-and-hers en suite, further emphasizing the personalized approach to luxury that Emocean offers.

In addition to the master cabin, Emocean houses two VIP cabins that echo the yacht's commitment to luxury and comfort. Each cabin is designed with attention to detail, ensuring that guests enjoy a tranquil and opulent environment throughout their stay. The guest cabins are replete with all the necessary amenities to provide a serene retreat after a day of exploration or relaxation at sea.

The crew quarters are designed to offer both comfort and functionality, providing the seven crew with their private space to relax and rejuvenate.

Performance & Capabilities

Emocean's propulsion system is centered around twin diesel MAN (D2868 LE) 8-cylinder 799hp engines running at 2100rpm, which are housed in a spaciously designed engine room with high ceilings. This arrangement ensures ease of access for maintenance and optimizes the yacht's performance.  Emocean is capable of reaching a top speed of 13 knots, and comfortably cruises at 11 knots.

Emocean has a maximum range of 5,000 nautical miles at an economic speed of 10 knots, allowing for extended voyages without the need for frequent refueling stops. This capability is essential for true global exploration and autonomy at sea.

The mechanical ingenuity of Emocean extends to her stability systems. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters.

Emocean is designed with practicality in mind, featuring a crouching-height tunnel that connects the engine room to the crew area, allowing for seamless access to tanks and other essential maintenance areas. This tunnel doubles as additional storage and provides an alternative route for the crew to reach the engine room in emergency situations.

The yacht's maneuverability is enhanced by the innovative design of her rudders, which can be operated independently, removing the need for a stern thruster and providing redundancy in the event of a rudder failure. Such attention to detail highlights the yacht's mechanical redundancy and reliability—a legacy of Rosetti Superyachts' heritage in crafting durable commercial vessels.

Each element, from the eco-conscious flooring to the custom furnishings, has been conceived with the dual purpose of aesthetic pleasure and functional excellence, ensuring that life aboard Emocean is an experience of unparalleled luxury and connection with the ocean.

Amenities

A gym with all the latest equipment allows her guests to keep their workout routines while at sea. Waterfront living can be enjoyed to the fullest, thanks to a large beach club and connecting swim platform with plenty of space for sitting back and admiring the sea views. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort. Crowning the yacht is a spacious sundeck with an inviting spread of sunpads and deck jacuzzi which provides excellent views.
