Rosetti delivers first ever superyacht 38m EMOCEAN

The Italian shipyard has delivered its first superyacht, 38m EMOCEAN which is set to make her debut at Cannes next week, and also started building its sister ship.

Rosetti Superyachts has delivered its first-ever superyacht, 38m (125ft) EMOCEAN, with the yard also announcing it has started building a sister ship for the 410GT explorer yacht.

Rosetti Superyachts became the yachting arm of the commercial shipbuilding conglomerate Rosetti Marino in 2017, with EMOCEAN being announced as its first project the following year. Her keel was laid in May 2019 and she was launched in June this year. She is set to make her worldwide debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival next week.

Her sister ship will be constructed at Rosetti’s San Vitale shipyard in Ravenna, and is expected to be delivered in July 2023.

“We chose to start building a second boat to meet market demands for shorter delivery times,” adds Andrea Giora, Rosetti Superyachts Sales & Marketing Director. “This yacht will benefit from the experience acquired on M/Y EMOCEAN and from the choices made with the owners, Hydro Tec and our shipyard. Over the next few months, the future owner of this 38 metre will be able to configure the interiors and select materials and may choose to benefit from the expertise of BurdissoCapponi Studio who also designed the interiors of M/Y EMOCEAN.

EMOCEAN has been built with strong involvement from the Owner, with the yard calling it a “totally custom-built ship”. Her most eye-catching features, the large windows and openings, were requested by the Owner, as was the custom-designed wine cellar and wide sundeck sporting a Jacuzzi with a waterfall feature.

She sleeps ten guests across five cabins and twin MAN D2868 LE 425 engines give a maximum speed of 13 knots and a range of 5,000nm at a cruising speed of 10 knots.

The Rosetti Marino Group was established in Ravenna in 1925 as a mechanical workshop. It branched into constructing ferries and tugboats in the 1990s before turning to the superyacht sector in 2017.
