Rosetti has announced the launch of its first yacht, as the 37.83m (124ft) RSY 38m EXP hit the water this week.
The new owners played a big part in the build, and were actively involved in all phases of construction, interior design and selection of all the accessories, with the yard calling the 410GT explorer yacht “a totally custom-built ship”.
Rosetti Superyachts became the yachting arm of the commercial shipbuilding conglomerate Rosetti Marino in 2017. Ermanno Bellettini, Chairman and CEO of Rosetti Superyachts, was quick to recognize the significance of the launch:
"This launch represents an important milestone both for Rosetti Superyachts and for Rosetti Marino Group” he said. “In fact it's our first pleasure boat to touch water, a very ambitious goal, strongly desired by our ownership and achieved with firm determination by all those involved. Launching a 38 metre Explorer in the scheduled timeframe was possible thanks to outstanding team work."
The modern exterior lines, interior layout and naval architecture of the RSY 38m EXP come courtesy of Hydro Tex, with the refined interiors come from BurdissoCapponi Yachts & Design, a design studio based near Rosetti Superyachts in Ravenna, Italy.
The influence of the Owners on the project can be seen in windows and openings, which have been made as large as possible. The main deck salon, in particular, has large aft windows and sliding doors that offer wide sea views.
Other highlights include a custom-designed wine cellar, a wide sun deck sporting a Jacuzzi with a waterfall feature and a private Owner’s stateroom with a fixed side balcony. In total the yacht sleeps ten guests across five cabins.
Powerwise twin MAN D2868 LE 425 engines give a maximum speed of 13 knots and a range of 5,000nm at a cruising speed of 10 knots.
The next steps will see the interiors complete followed by sea trials, with the yacht expected to be delivered to her new Owners in July. The RSY 38m EXP is expected to make her first public appearance at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September.
The Rosetti Marino Group was established in 1925 initially focussing on ship repairs and producing tugboats, it branched into constructing ferries in the 1990s before turning to the superyacht sector in 2017.
