Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and a steel/aluminium superstructure she features a 11.5m beam and a 4.2m draft. The yacht is built over 4 decks with an internal volume of 1,622 GT (Gross Tonnes).

She was delivered to her owners in August 1969.

Exterior Design

Amadeus was built in 1969 by Neue Jadewerft and initially served as a research vessel. In 2006, Jade Yachts began a two-year conversion into a private yacht, with Reymond Langton Design handling the exterior redesign. Following a comprehensive refit completed in 2024, the yacht was placed on the market for sale. Amadeus retains a powerful profile that acknowledges her original purpose, featuring a sleek dark blue hull and a pristine white superstructure.

The yacht's high operational foredeck is fitted with smart teak decking around the anchoring and mooring hardware, along with integrated storage for tenders and a launching crane. The side profile opens amidships, providing sheltered walkways, while a trio of vertical portholes adds a stylish touch between the upper decks by the nameplate. The deck levels lean slightly forward, creating a dynamic, forward-leaning appearance.

Interior Design

The 2024 refit revitalized the François Zuretti-designed interiors, incorporating Norwegian birch burl paneling and marble flooring.

Accommodation

The yacht AMADEUS accommodates up to 14 guests in seven cabins. The owner's suite, situated on its own private deck, includes twin bathrooms, a study, a salon, and an en-suite gym and sauna. The main deck features a VIP suite, two king-size cabins, and two twin cabins. Additionally, there is a convertible twin/king cabin on the lower deck. A full crew complement of 23 provides full guest service.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (3512 B) 1,850hp engines, motor yacht Amadeus is capable of reaching a top speed of 14 knots, and comfortably cruises at 11 knots. With her 257,500 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 8,000 nautical miles at 11 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters.

Amenities

The yacht features a well-equipped gym, allowing her guests to keep up their fitness regimes at sea. A sumptuous cinema suite allows for movie nights at sea and also a swim platform is on hand for guests looking to cool off in the sea. An elevator makes the yacht fully-accessible, while air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort. The sundeck is the social hub of the yacht, with a deck jacuzzi for cooling off and an inviting spread of sunpads.
