Design & Construction
Designed around a planing GRP hull and superstructure she features a 7.5m beam and a 1.6m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 218 GT (Gross Tonnes).
This was the second yacht built on the AB 116 design.
Exterior Design
Five Waves features ample deck space, providing several areas for lounging and sunbathing. Sunpads are strategically placed at the aft of the main deck and on the bridge deck. On the sun deck, the inclusion of a Jacuzzi enhances the outdoor experience. The swim platform at the transom provides easy access to the water, facilitating activities such as swimming and boarding watercraft.
Five Waves features a planing hull configuration with a raked bow. The hull and superstructure share a uniform metallic color, giving the yacht a cohesive and modern appearance. The deck is made of teak, providing a durable and classic surface that complements the overall design. The boot top and the area below the waterline are painted black, adding a sharp contrast to the grey exterior. The choice of materials and colors reflects a straightforward, functional design approach.
Interior Design
The saloon includes an elongated L-shaped sofa in neutral tones, providing ample seating for guests. Dark-toned wooden furnishings add a sophisticated touch, while expansive windows allow natural light to fill the space, creating a welcoming atmosphere for socializing. Neutral-colored flooring complements the dark wooden furnishings, creating a balanced and cohesive look.
Accommodation
Five Waves accommodates up to 11 guests across six staterooms. The master stateroom features dark-toned wooden furnishings contrasted with neutral-colored flooring. It includes a large sofa, providing a private space for the owner to relax. In addition to the master stateroom, there are five more staterooms available for guests.
Five Waves can also accommodate six crew members, including the captain, ensuring a high level of service and attention to detail throughout the journey.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by 3 x diesel MTU (16V2000 M93) 2,400hp engines, motor yacht Five Waves is capable of reaching a top speed of 40 knots, and comfortably cruises at 33 knots. With her 15,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 461 nautical miles. Her planing hull design means she is fast and efficient as she slices through the water.
Amenities
In addition, a swim platform is on hand for guests looking to cool off in the sea. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort, while underwater lights create a dazzling light display when the sun goes down. Crowning the yacht is a spacious sundeck with an inviting spread of sunpads and deck jacuzzi which provides excellent views.
