Design & Construction
Designed around a semi-displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 8m beam and a 2.27m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 289 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Construction started in late 2017. This was the seventh yacht built on the Navetta 37 design. She was delivered to her owners in May 2019.
Exterior Design
The main deck aft features a casual seating area, designed for guests to gather and enjoy the marine environment with ease. This space transitions smoothly to the upper deck, where a U-shaped sofa and coffee table create an inviting alfresco dining setting. Additional outdoor furnishings on the upper deck, such as Minotti Rivera armchairs and a custom steel and glass table, support both comfort and practicality.
At the forward section of the upper deck, a generous seating area is paired with sun pads, providing ample opportunities for relaxation and sunbathing. The yacht's sundeck is equipped with a Jacuzzi, offering guests panoramic views in a tranquil setting. Practical elements, such as the retractable cleats on the swimming platform and the hidden canopy for lateral wind protection, underline Frangelo's commitment to both aesthetic and operational efficiency.
Frangelo's exterior lighting includes 18 underwater lights, which not only enhance safety but also add to the yacht's evening ambiance. The design also accommodates a range of amenities, including a Williams tender 565 Diesel Jet, ensuring that guests can engage in various water-based activities with convenience.
Interior Design
The main wood used throughout Frangelo is light brushed oak, providing a consistent and sophisticated backdrop for the yacht's interior spaces. In the main and upper deck salons, as well as lobbies, wheelhouse, and captain's cabin, the flooring is executed in white brushed oak by Mardegan, contributing to a bright and airy ambiance.
For the main salon, the inclusion of bronze mirror portals adds a touch of understated elegance, complementing the natural light that floods the space.
The lighting system throughout Frangelo is designed to be both functional and adaptable, with dimmer controls for the main deck to create the desired atmosphere for any occasion. In the dining areas, illumination is carefully considered to enhance the experience of gathering and dining, with fixtures that accentuate the textures and colors of both the food and the yacht's interior.
The galley is a study in efficiency and quality, outfitted with custom fridge and freezer units, a blast chiller, and a fast cycle dishwasher, among other appliances. The professional Hoshizaki ice maker and Rational Oven in the main deck pantry further underscore the yacht's commitment to delivering exceptional service and cuisine.
The use of premium materials extends to the decorative elements within the yacht, with Emperador lucido crema marble in the master bathroom and sinks in the day heads crafted from Calacatta Reale by Florim. The attention to material selection is evident in the tactile and visual textures that these elements contribute to the interior design.
Accommodation
Accommodation aboard Frangelo is thoughtfully arranged to host up to 10 guests across five well-appointed suites. The layout includes a dedicated owner's cabin strategically placed on the main deck, which ensures privacy and comfort for the principal guests. Below the main deck, Frangelo features 2 double cabins and 2 twin cabins, designed to offer a restful environment for additional guests.
Frangelo ensures that all guests aboard receive the highest level of service with accommodation for up to seven crew members. These quarters are separate from the guest areas, allowing for privacy and discretion in service delivery.
Performance & Capabilities
Frangelo houses a pair of MAN V12 LE446 diesel engines, each generating 1,400 horsepower at a brisk 2300 rpm. This formidable powertrain affords the yacht a commendable top speed of 15 knots. For voyages favoring efficiency over velocity, a cruising speed of 12 knots is sustained, while an economical speed of 10 knots permits an impressive range of 3,000 nautical miles, courtesy of her substantial 32,500-liter fuel capacity.
Frangelo's semi-displacement hull is a harmonious blend of volume and velocity, offering ample onboard space without compromising on speed. This design ensures a comfortable and stable journey, whether cutting through coastal waters or navigating the high seas.
Stability, a critical aspect of any maritime journey, is dutifully managed by an advanced stabilization system comprising two Seakeeper NG16 units and an additional NG9. These gyroscopic stabilizers work in concert with ABT Trac hydraulic fin stabilizers to minimize roll motion, providing guests with an exceptionally smooth and stable experience, regardless of sea conditions.
The yacht's technical prowess extends beyond propulsion and stabilization. A bow thruster and stern thruster enable precise maneuvering in tight marinas, while the Alfa Laval MMB 304 fuel filter system ensures optimal engine performance. A tropical air conditioning system maintains a comfortable climate throughout the vessel, and the inclusion of an Idromar water maker, capable of producing 360 liters per hour, guarantees a continuous supply of fresh water.
Navigational and security systems aboard Frangelo are nothing short of state-of-the-art. The integrated bridge features the latest equipment, including a Furuno radar and AIS Class B transponder, a Simrad RG80C gyrocompass, and a Furuno ECDIS FMD3200 for electronic chart plotting. The vessel is also equipped with Flir thermal night vision and a comprehensive CCTV system, ensuring safety and awareness at all hours.
