Design & Construction
Designed around a full displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 9.85m beam and a 3.2m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 696 GT (Gross Tonnes). The design also incorporates a heli-pad.
Construction started in late 2002. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards.
Exterior Design
The exterior design of Hadia is a study in understated elegance. The hull, painted in a light grey, offers a subtle and refined appearance. Contrasting this, the superstructure is finished in a crisp white, creating a clean and modern look. Below the waterline, the yacht is coated in black, providing a stark yet harmonious contrast to the lighter hues above. The decks are crafted from teak, known for its durability and classic aesthetic.
The sun deck aft is multifunctional, serving as both a helipad and a storage area for the rescue boat and helicopter refueling apparatus. The area under the radar arch has been enclosed with glass doors to create a large gymnasium equipped with various fitness machines and a steam shower. Adjacent to this space, there is a spa pool and a dining and sunbathing area.
Forward of the bridge, an additional sunbathing area can be converted into an open-air cinema or a large sleeping area. This space also allows crew access to the fore deck for mooring and anchoring tasks.
On the starboard side of the bridge deck, the main tender is stowed behind a wing-like structure that conceals it from view. This design ensures a clear launching area for the tender when the gantry cranes are deployed. Hadia also has ample storage for kayaks and a sailing dinghy.
Interior Design
Hadia's interior design reflects functional sophistication and attention to detail. The main saloon features an intimate seating area with overstuffed sofas and armchairs in beiges and browns, centered around a large, square ottoman clad in tan leather. A cherrywood cabinet separates the seating area from the dining space and houses a large pop-up flat-screen television for convenient film viewing.
The dining area contains a large oval table that can comfortably seat twelve people, suitable for formal dining occasions. A curved bar with a string of bar stools is situated at the aft part of the saloon, adjacent to a small games table designed to accommodate up to four players.
The galley on the port side of the main deck is spacious and well-organized, offering ample room for meal preparation. It is equipped with extensive cold storage and secondary storage areas, facilitating efficient workflow for the crew. A food lift connects the galley to all decks.
The bridge deck saloon is finished in white painted woods with cherrywood highlights, creating a light and inviting space. It includes an office, a bar, and three distinct seating areas, one of which is configured for intimate dining. A large round table outside seats twelve, with a system of quadrants available to adjust its size for smaller gatherings. Sliding glass screens can enclose the side decks for protection against adverse weather, and blowers provide heated or chilled air as necessary.
The helm area incorporates innovative design choices aimed at enhancing operational efficiency. Notably, the bridge does not have traditional seats; instead, it features leaning posts to help the steering crew and watchkeepers remain alert. The navigation area includes an advanced alarm monitoring system, reflecting modern technological integration.
Accommodation
Hadia offers accommodation for up to 12 guests in 6 cabins. The owner's suite is situated forward on the main deck. Access to this suite is granted through the owner's private office and sitting room, which are accessible from the lobby. The full-beam cabin features a king-size bed and is elegantly finished in teak. Complementing the bedroom are 'his and hers' en-suite bathrooms, connected by a central double shower unit and bathtub. Additionally, a spacious cedar-walled walk-in dressing room is located aft of the bedroom to port.
Guest accommodations are located on the lower deck, accessible via the starboard stairs from the lobby. This area includes two large, well-appointed VIP cabins with en-suite bathrooms featuring bathtubs. Also on this deck are two slightly smaller en-suite double cabins equipped with showers. An additional twin-bunked cabin with an en-suite shower is available, as well as a massage and treatment room discreetly situated to starboard.
For the well-being of the guests, a discreet massage and treatment room is also available on the lower deck, providing a private space for relaxation and rejuvenation.
Crew accommodations include four upper/lower bunk cabins on the lower deck forward, each with en-suite facilities. An engineer's cabin is also provided, ensuring dedicated space for essential personnel. The captain's cabin is conveniently located on the bridge deck aft of the ship's office, ensuring quick access to operational areas.
