Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 10.2m beam and a 2.85m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 849 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Construction started in mid 2013 with the keel laid under the project name 'Project Falcon' as a speculative build by Codecasa. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in June 2015 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in July 2015.
Exterior Design
The exterior design of Kadimo's is a reflection of Codecasa's Vintage Series' characteristic classic lines, evoking the stylistic cues of mid-20th century vessels, while ensuring the generous proportions of contemporary yacht layouts. The Vintage Series, which includes Kadimo's, showcases a familial resemblance through their shared styling, with each yacht maintaining a unique interior identity.
With a length of 50 meters, Kadimo's offers substantial outdoor spaces, including a notably spacious sundeck. A careful consideration of privacy is evident in the arrangement of the seating area, which benefits from the shelter of a hardtop. The yacht's spa pool is strategically placed to offer seclusion, shielded from the foredeck by shaded screens for an intimate atmosphere.
Kadimo's garage is designed to accommodate a 6.4-meter Castoldi tender among other water toys, with additional provisions like a built-in spare fridge that serves as a practical solution for long voyages.
Interior Design
Throughout Kadimo's interior, the emphasis on high-quality materials is evident. Dark mahogany woodwork provides a solid, established feel to the living spaces, complementing the lighter tones of the overheads and cream carpets, which serve to enhance the sense of space. In areas such as the central lobby, floors in golden calacatta marble with yellow siena and black marquina inlays add a touch of elegance. Mother of pearl and gold leaf accents, crafted by Venetian company Zanin, adorn staircase walls, adding a discreet yet distinct touch of craftsmanship.
Designers have carefully considered lighting to ensure it complements the yacht's interior. The use of soft, diffused light fixtures creates a welcoming atmosphere, while strategically placed lamps, such as those from Florentine maker Baldi, provide functional illumination and contribute to the overall aesthetic. Natural light is also maximized through the inclusion of large windows, allowing for a bright and airy feel during the day.
Kadimo's dining areas are designed to facilitate both formal and informal gatherings. The main dining area, located within the long main saloon, is subtly demarcated from the seating area by low cabinets, maintaining an open plan while still providing a distinct space for dining. The furniture and table settings are chosen with an eye for durability and a timeless appeal, ensuring that they remain functional and stylish for years to come.
Attention to detail extends to the yacht's functional aspects, such as the integrated bridge within the wheelhouse, with traditional electronic charts to ensure reliability. The thoughtful placement of the captain's cabin and the ample storage solutions throughout the crew quarters emphasize practicality and efficiency in design.
Accommodation
Kadimo's provides a refined and intimate accommodation experience for up to 12 guests, arranged in six elegantly designed suites. The living quarters are structured to deliver comfort and privacy, ensuring guests enjoy their time aboard with serenity and space.
The owner's cabin provides a personal retreat with ample amenities to ensure a comfortable and private stay. The presence of an office within the owner's suite underscores the attention to the needs of guests who may require a quiet space for work or contemplation.
