Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 35'1" beam and a 11'6" draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 1,056 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Exterior Design

The exterior design of Kwikumat features a raked bow, providing a sleek and modern appearance. The deck, crafted from high-quality teak, offers both functionality and a classic look. Kwikumat is painted in a clean white hue. The hull and superstructure share this uniform color, contributing to a cohesive and streamlined appearance. The boot top is painted black, offering a striking contrast to the white hull. Below the waterline, the yacht is finished in blue, adding a subtle touch of color that complements its overall design.

The upper deck is designed for practical use, with tenders stored aft and ready for quick deployment. This layout facilitates easy access to water sports activities and shore excursions. The sun deck, free from an arch mast, maintains an open and usable space, despite housing a small deckhouse that contains the emergency generator room and a gymnasium. This area provides forward-facing windows for panoramic views.

Kwikumat’s bridge deck also features a smaller stateroom, offering excellent views through its large window, and the sky lounge, located aft of the bridge, leads to the yacht’s main open-air deck space. The sunbathing cushions and steamer chairs flank the circular spa pool, which is positioned against the aft rail, and a pair of tables form the alfresco dining area.

Kwikumat’s stern garage, devoid of tenders, is a spacious storage area for various water toys, diving gear, and other equipment. The integrated beam crane facilitates the launching and retrieval of these items. The extended bathing platform provides ample space for preparing diving gear.

Interior Design

Kwikumat's interior design reflects a blend of traditional English style and functional elegance. The main saloon and dining room share the same floor area as Excellence III, but the overall ambiance is distinct. The yacht features pale mahogany panelling crafted by German furniture makers Rodiek, providing a classical backdrop. The main conversation area includes classically styled furniture upholstered in a light green shade, along with a desk, a games table, and a grand piano. A bar, a television, and a hi-fi system are discreetly housed within cabinets.

The dining area is fully enclosed and located offset to port, separate from the main saloon. The room is accessible from both the saloon and a passageway, through sliding doors. It features a 12-seater mahogany table, built-in sideboards, and glazed corner cabinets, offering a formal setting.

The sky lounge, situated aft of the bridge, serves as the yacht's second saloon. This area is floored with teak and holly, and decorated with a Montague Dawson oil painting. The lounge includes a main seating area, a backgammon table, a card table, and a television. Forward of the sky lounge is a pantry with a dumb waiter connected to the galley below, ensuring efficient service.

The sun deck's deckhouse contains a gymnasium equipped with a Pacific Fitness Zuma, a mini-gymnasium press and weight machine, and a Precor cycling machine. The gym offers a panoramic view through its forward-facing windows.

The galley, designed with input from the chef, features restaurant-quality appliances. It includes separate areas for preparation, cooking, washing up, and food storage. The stewardesses operate from an enclosed pantry between the dining room and the galley, equipped with a plate warmer, a refrigerator, coffee-making facilities, and a dishwasher. Tailored drawers for tableware facilitate table setting.

Kwikumat's bridge focuses on navigation and pilotage. It features a central navigation island with an underlit chart table, NEC chartplotter, DGPS receivers, and VHF communications equipment. The control fascia is equipped and laid out for optimal functionality, with instruments set against a matt black background to reduce reflections.

Accommodation

Kwikumat offers accommodation for up to 12 guests across six guest cabins. The owner's suite is located on the main deck and is accessed through a private study. This suite includes a king-sized bed, a seating area, and large windows that allow natural light to fill the room. The suite also boasts two dressing rooms and a pair of en suite facilities: a shower room to port and a bathroom to starboard. Additionally, the owner's suite features a private lounge with a convertible sofa and an adjoining shower room, which can be used as a double stateroom for family or personal staff.

The lower deck houses four guest staterooms. Two of these are double staterooms that share the yacht's 10.7-metre beam, one of which is a VIP stateroom with an en suite bathroom. The remaining two are twin-bedded staterooms, each with an en suite shower room. An additional twin-bedded stateroom is located on the bridge deck, offering spectacular views through its large window.

Kwikumat's crew accommodation includes seven cabins: two twin-berthed cabins on the tank deck and five larger, more luxurious cabins on the lower deck. The crew quarters also feature a well-sized crew mess, laundry facilities, and ample storage rooms. The crew staircase connects all levels, facilitating seamless movement and service throughout the yacht.
