Built for owners who wanted a home on the water designed around social living, the Benetti superyacht impressed the judges with her inviting atmosphere and carefully considered design.
Built in Viareggio, Kasper 7 brings together the exterior work of Cassetta Yacht Designers with interiors curated by the owner, Nisrine Karagulla, founder of Ask Deco. The result is a superyacht that prioritises relaxed living, offering an elegant yet informal atmosphere throughout.
Award-Winning Interiors
At the heart of Kasper 7’s concept is the collaboration between the owners, the shipyard, and Giorgio Maria Cassetta. Drawing on her background in luxury real estate and yacht refits, the owner played a key role in shaping the yacht’s interiors, from space planning to selecting materials and finishes.
Throughout the yacht, personal touches are evident. From custom-made furnishings and pastel-toned outdoor spaces to vintage pieces collected by the owner, every corner of Kasper 7 reflects a clear vision of relaxed sophistication. The decision to reduce the number of cabins to just five - unusually few for a yacht of this size - ensures a greater sense of openness and a home-like feel, while creating generous private spaces for guests.
The design places strong emphasis on light and views. A series of four circular windows, each nearly two metres in diameter, punctuates the yacht’s profile, framing the surrounding seascape and flooding the interiors with natural light. These large portholes, requested by the owner, help forge a constant connection to the environment, underscoring the yacht’s role as a sanctuary at sea.
The main deck lounge showcases the yacht’s impressive width of over ten metres, with extensive glazing that enhances the fluid, open-plan layout. Soft tones of white oak flooring, uncluttered ceilings, and pale Perpero wood panelling create a calming and airy feel, while discreet lighting solutions mimic the play of natural sunlight inside.
Spaces Designed for Relaxed Living
Across the motor yacht's six decks, Kasper 7 offers a range of inviting spaces aimed at social living rather than formality. Dining areas feature long tables ideal for entertaining, while outdoor furniture in soft, natural shades complements the sea views. There is only a single television on board and no swimming pool - a conscious decision by the owners to encourage conversation and connection with the sea.
Guest cabins on the lower deck each carry a distinct identity, inspired by characters from the "Kasper" cartoon that gave the yacht her name.
Throughout the yacht, accessories and artworks have been thoughtfully chosen to enhance the relaxed, contemporary mood without overwhelming the spaces.
Efficiency and Environmental Considerations
Sustainability also played a part in the project. The decks, doors, and furniture feature FSC®-certified teak sourced from responsibly managed forests. The yacht has earned a 3-star certification from Sea Index®, a system developed by the Yacht Club de Monaco to assess CO2 emissions for yachts over 25 metres.
Powered by twin 1,350kW Caterpillar engines, Kasper 7 reaches a top speed of 16 knots and offers a cruising range of 5,000 nautical miles at 10 knots. Accommodation includes five guest cabins for up to 10 guests and 11 crew cabins for a complement of 19 crew members.
