Design & Construction
Designed around a full displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 31'6" beam and a 10'8" draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 683 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Construction started in mid 1977 with the keel laid under the project name 'Destiny II'. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards.
Exterior Design
The large sun deck includes a raised Jacuzzi at the forward end, surrounded by sunpads. A semi-circular wet bar is located beneath the hardtop forward of the funnel. Aft of the funnel, the boat deck houses two tenders and various water toys, which can be launched using two deck cranes. When the tenders are deployed, the boat deck offers ample space for relaxation and entertainment.
The upper deck aft is equipped with an open-air dining area beneath an overhang, and a spacious deck with a sun lounge. The lounge features C-shaped banquette seating, armchairs, and a pop-up aft-facing TV for movie nights. On the main deck aft, there is another covered open-air lounge. Both the main and upper decks are designed with walkaround side decks for easy access. Additionally, there is a Portuguese bridge lounge forward on the upper deck and toy storage on the main deck.
Boarding the yacht is facilitated by hydraulic side gangways on both port and starboard sides, each with shell door swim platforms. A hydraulic passerelle is located port aft for additional boarding options.
The upper deck aft connects to the sky lounge through sliding glass doors. The sky lounge includes a sit-up bar, lounge seating, a DJ station, and a dayhead with both internal and external access. A central spiral staircase leads down to the main deck lobby, which features two dayheads, a main saloon, and a large formal dining room adjacent to the galley.
Interior Design
The interior of Meserret II is classic and tasteful. The main saloon features large seating areas and vibrant decor. The walls are adorned with artwork, and tables and cabinets showcase sculptures that add character to the space. Adjacent to the main saloon is a formal dining area that seats 12 guests comfortably.
The sky lounge is another notable feature. It provides a setting for enjoying evening cocktails at the bar. This lounge is accessible via sliding glass doors from the upper deck aft. The space includes a sit-up bar to starboard, lounge seating to port, a DJ station, and a dayhead with internal and external access.
A central spiral staircase connects the upper and main deck. On the main deck, the lobby leads to the main saloon aft and a large formal dining room to starboard, which is next to the galley. The interior materials are of high quality, including a marble bathroom in the master suite.
Meserret II also has a dayhead located in the main deck lobby. Throughout the yacht, the design emphasizes functionality and comfort, ensuring a practical yet inviting atmosphere for all guests.
Accommodation
The Meserret II offers accommodation for up to 16 guests in ten staterooms. The master suite, located forward on the main deck, features a private office, bedroom, walk-in dressing room, and a marble bathroom with a rain shower.
The yacht also includes a VIP suite on the upper deck. The lower deck houses four double cabins and a twin cabin. Additionally, there are two single cabins designed for secretaries or security staff, ensuring flexibility in guest accommodations.
