Design & Construction

Designed around a full displacement composite hull and superstructure she features a 11m beam and a 4m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 498 GT (Gross Tonnes).

The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. She was delivered to her owners in May 2014.

Exterior Design

The exterior design of the yacht Salvaje reflects a practical and efficient approach. The long dark-blue hull features a distinct sheerline, presenting a clean and well-proportioned profile. The superstructure is contained between the main mast and the mizzen, creating a balanced appearance.

The foredeck, free from clutter, extends as a clear expanse of teak, enhancing both functionality and aesthetics. The main mast is positioned forward, which, despite shortening the foredeck, still provides ample space for stowing both the guest and crew tenders below decks.

A side-boarding platform on the starboard side of the hull offers a larger and safer link with the side-boarding stairway.

The flybridge spans 60 square meters and includes sun pads that wrap around the mast. Additionally, a large seating area on the flybridge offers alfresco dining options. The yacht's operation is controlled entirely from the flybridge, protected from the sun by a demountable awning supported on four posts. In adverse weather conditions, the twin helm stations can be enclosed by a hydraulic dodger, providing all-round protection for watch-keepers.

The aft cockpit serves as the social center of the yacht, featuring extensive dining and lounge spaces. The cockpit side windows and curved aft glass-panel slide down to allow the breeze through. This area can also be completely climate controlled, ensuring comfort in various weather conditions. The aft deck also includes a spa pool, providing a leisure option for guests.

Interior Design

The saloon, accessible directly from the cockpit, features large windows that provide extensive panoramic views. This space includes a bar and lounge area, which is ideal for relaxation and social gatherings. The formal dining area is separated from the saloon by a walkaround wall, which also conceals a 267-centimeter television on the saloon side.

The design palette focuses on muted shades and light textures, diverging from the bold colors of previous projects. Wall panels are pale with dark detail strips, and the cream headlinings and wool carpets offer a neutral backdrop. The furnishings and fabrics introduce earthy tones, with occasional splashes of turquoise and scarlet. Timber varieties such as oak, ziricote, elm, and palm are used in multiple finishes to add depth and interest to the interior.

Leather is utilized in a sculptural manner, with wave-like panels wrapping around intricate balustrades and encasing the floating stairs. Glass elements are incorporated as artworks and floor-to-ceiling lighting panels, enhancing the interior’s visual appeal.

The saloon flows seamlessly into the formal dining area, which then leads to the internal navigation station. This station is connected to the service and crew areas, ensuring smooth operational flow within the yacht.

Accommodation

Salvaje can host up to 10 guests in five well-appointed cabins, ensuring ample space and privacy for all aboard.

The owner's suite is strategically positioned amidships, at the widest part of the yacht, to maximize space and comfort. This location also ensures a quieter environment, free from the noise of waves slapping against the hull or machinery vibrations. The suite occupies the full beam of the yacht, offering a spacious retreat with a serene ambiance. The interior decor features a blend of light and dark tones, creating a contemporary and sophisticated atmosphere.

The guest accommodation comprises four additional en suite cabins. These include two VIP suites, which offer a luxurious experience with ample space and elegant design. Additionally, there are two twin-berth suites, one of which includes an extra Pullman bed, making it suitable for families or additional guests. Each cabin is designed with a modern aesthetic, incorporating cool, muted shades and high-quality materials.
