Design & Construction

Designed around a full displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 7.17m beam and a 1.6m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 170 GT (Gross Tonnes).

This was the first yacht built on the UHV 87 design. Launched in April 2021 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in June 2021.

Exterior Design

The foredeck features a substantial area equipped with U-shaped seating around dual tables, pop-up lights, and a central sun pad for relaxation or social gatherings. The yacht's hardware, such as the dual anchor systems, is deliberately oversized for durability and safety.

Along the side decks, the yacht offers a smooth transition to the aft deck, which houses additional seating and a dining setup, perfect for alfresco meals. The aft deck also includes a docking station with throttle and thruster controls, simplifying maneuvering operations for the crew. The inclusion of power glass doors provides an easy transition into the yacht's interior spaces.

The hydraulic swim platform and the adjacent tender garage, which doubles as a beach club or storage area, underscore the yacht's practicality and attention to detail. These features enhance the functionality of Sandro, providing direct access to the water and additional space for water toys and equipment.

Through the considered use of space, lighting, and high-end materials, Sandro offers a luxurious yet practical environment suitable for both private relaxation and entertaining guests.

Interior Design

The interior of the Sandro is characterized by generous dimensions and thoughtful design, providing an expansive feeling unusual for a yacht of her length. The main salon features an L-shaped seating area that maximizes space without compromising comfort. Each piece of furniture aboard Sandro is custom-built, reflecting the individual preferences of the owner. The salon is further enhanced by floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the area with natural light and provide an unobstructed view of the yacht's surroundings.

Lighting throughout the yacht is carefully considered to enhance the ambiance. Pop-up lights on the foredeck and subtle accent lighting within the interior create a sophisticated atmosphere, while backlit mirrors in spaces like the day head add a touch of elegance. The result is an environment that balances functionality and style.

The dining area provides a setting for formal meals, with a table that comfortably accommodates guests. Attention to detail is evident in the high-quality finishes, from lacquered surfaces to the varied textures and designs that adorn the space. It's a practical area that doesn't sacrifice aesthetic appeal.

The helm, or pilothouse, is notably spacious, reflecting a design approach that prioritizes ease of operation and comfort. It houses an array of Garmin multifunction displays alongside redundant control systems, ensuring continued operation even in the event of a system failure. The layout and equipment are professional and geared towards functionality, with clear labeling and easy access to all necessary controls.

In the galley, functionality merges with high-end aesthetics. Equipped with top-of-the-line Miele appliances and an integrated dishwasher, the space is designed for efficient meal preparation. The sizeable window and ample storage make the area both practical and pleasant for those working within. High gloss finishes and quality materials are consistent with the rest of the yacht's interior, maintaining the refined appearance.

Accommodation

Sandro's sleeping quarters are configured to accommodate eight guests across four well-appointed cabins. The full beam owner's suite, situated on the main deck, is a highlight, offering substantial space and privacy. It features a king-size bed, a comprehensive wall of closets, and includes thoughtful additions such as a built-in refrigerator and a safe. Large windows on either side of the suite allow for ample natural light and provide guests with panoramic views of the surrounding seascape. The owner's suite also boasts an ensuite bathroom adorned with high-quality marble and stone finishes.

Below deck, guests will find three additional cabins, including a VIP suite that mirrors the owner's suite in terms of luxury and comfort. The VIP cabin provides guests with a comfortable seating area, ample storage space, and an ensuite bathroom. Each guest cabin showcases distinct design elements and materials, reflecting the yacht's custom-built nature. In the VIP suite, the use of zebra wood with a high gloss finish is particularly striking, while the double guest cabin features a more traditional finish with chestnut wood.

Sandro's fourth cabin offers two spacious single beds and includes similar amenities to the other cabins, such as a TV, a dressing table, and an ensuite bathroom.

For the crew, Sandro has accommodations that can house up to four members. Two bunk rooms, a shared head, and a combined laundry and mess area ensure that the crew can perform their duties effectively while maintaining their own comfort and privacy.

Performance & Capabilities

Sandro is powered by twin diesel Volvo Penta D11-720 engines. These engines are known for their reliability and efficiency, which are essential qualities for the backbone of any luxury yacht. Lazzara's choice of Volvo's D11-720 engines ensures that Sandro is not only powerful but also runs smoothly for the comfort of all on board.

The yacht reaches a commendable top speed of 16 knots, allowing swift passage through the water. At a cruising speed of 12 knots, guests on board can enjoy a harmonious blend of velocity and stability, making the journey as enjoyable as the destination. The semi-displacement hull design contributes to this balance, providing both ample interior space and the ability to glide efficiently through the water.

When cruising at an economical speed of 10 knots, she boasts a range of approximately 1,500 nautical miles. This extensive range opens up a realm of possibilities for long cruises without the frequent need for refueling, thus enhancing the autonomy of travel and exploration.

Amenities

In addition, a beach club allows for easy access to the water and allows those on board to easily unwind. The yacht can house plenty of nautical toys and accessories, with a well-appointed tender garage for storing her impressive locker.
