Exterior Design

Sapphire sports a white hull and superstructure and a sleek forward dynamic with a raked bow and functional foredeck. The foredeck provides tender storage with a crane forward, and stowage of the larger water toys on the elevated section. There is a small forward-facing guest area, with a semi-circular seating area and a table, tucked just in front of the raked glazing of the bridge deck navigation cockpit. Walkways on either side provide easy access throughout the yacht. with prominent teak handrails as a contrast to the white of the top sides.

The bathing platform is ingeniously arranged across two sections. The initial area, sheltered by the transom top side extension, offers a serene guest relaxation space with options for shade. Access to the water is facilitated by a side opening on the starboard side, leading to the actual bathing platform. For convenience, a transom door grants entry to water toys and serves as a changing area, while staircases on either side provide easy access to the main deck aft.

The yacht's side profile showcases large sections of curved glazing on both the main and bridge decks, with mirrored elements above. Three prominent oval windows, accompanied by smaller portholes, add visual interest towards the bow. At the waterline, a series of portholes infuse the lower deck cabins with natural light and captivating reflections.

Tender stowage is further accommodated on the sun deck aft. Ahead of this space, guests can luxuriate in the circular jacuzzi, offering elevated views, and enjoy comfortable seating options or on high stools at the bar. Abundant guest areas feature on the aft decks of both the main and upper deck levels, with al fresco dining available on the main deck.

Interior Design

James McFarlane designed the interiors of Sapphire with a light palette, aiming for a calm and sophisticated ambiance. Soft pearl and Gainsboro grey tones, with hints of pewter, define the furnishings, which boast contemporary styling. Two Gerrit T. Rietveld-designed Utrecht armchairs add a classic touch to the space and accompany large squared sofas with square leather footstools-cum-coffee tables.

Above this cozy seating area, a large oval mirror is set into the ceiling. This mirror not only adds a touch of sophistication to the salon but also serves to reflect the natural light streaming in from the outside, creating a dynamic interplay of light.

The interiors feature a mix of wood, comprising highly polished mid-wood flooring with striking black detailing alongside deeper mahogany walls and cabinetry, adding depth and visual interest to the space. Positioned strategically in the corner of the salon, near the wide opening doorway leading to the exterior seating area, is a classic-style mahogany bar. Its elegance is accentuated by an intricate green motif inlaid within the wood, harmonizing with the contemporary chairs in the vestibule and complementing the motif within the marble floor of that section.

Continuing through the main salon, a central cabinet with a sizable TV screen serves as a subtle divider, delineating the space before unveiling the formal dining area. Here, soft light grey leather chairs encircle a spacious dining table.

Movement throughout the yacht is facilitated by a circular staircase crafted in mahogany, complemented by light neutral textured wall panels. Transitioning into the guest lobby, the continuity of wood panels maintains a cohesive aesthetic.  Classically styled cabins, feature extensive cabinetry with plain carpets as a neutral base. Bathrooms feature marble and mahogany with well-placed mirrors and lights adding to guest convenience.
