In-build tri-deck Trinity T056 superyacht sells at auction

An incomplete hull of the Trinity Yachts T056 has sold at auction after initially beginning construction in 2007.

Sold with Boathouse Auctions, the T056 is one of the many superyacht orders mothballed as a result of the financial crash in 2007.

Measuring up at 51m (168ft) and proposed to be fitted with twin MTU 3,750hp engines, the incomplete superyacht had 32 interested parties, with three bids made during the auction itself.

Managed in collaboration with Mike Joyce from Hargrave Custom Yachts, the sale had a reserve of $2,500,000 with build estimates that suggest a further $25 million will be required to complete the yacht.

With a thorough survey and review in August 2022, the Trinity Yachts build has been continually checked and maintained since it entered storage and is compliant with ABS classifications.

Although the hull and superstructure are approximately 95% complete, the build and fit-out have a long way to go, with plenty of time and scope for the new Owner to make their mark on the superyacht and make all the adjustments required of a custom-built yacht.

Reportedly designed by the Trinity Design Team to reach maximum speeds of 23 knots, the layout onboard is proposed to feature a six-cabin layout complete with a full beam master on the main deck.

With other interior options yet to be decided, the one amenity currently listed is an elevator to connect all decks.
