From expanding production facilities to launching its latest model, the Saxdor 340 GTWA, the Finnish boatbuilder highlighted its steady growth and evolving presence in the industry.
Rapid Growth and Global Expansion
Since its founding in 2019, Saxdor has grown at an impressive rate. What started as a small operation in a rented Polish facility has become a global brand with its own manufacturing sites in Poland and Finland. CEO Anna Salenius highlighted the company’s aggressive expansion, revealing plans to double production space during 2026.

With 650 employees in Poland and 50 at its Helsinki headquarters, Saxdor is scaling up to meet surging demand. The company is also leveraging partnerships, such as its collaboration with Techno Lab in Poland, to ensure production keeps pace. The recent establishment of a factory in Finland marks a milestone for the brand, with the site dedicated to producing larger models and strengthening Saxdor’s yacht division.
A U.S. Debut: The Saxdor 340 GTWA
One of the biggest highlights at PBIBS 2025 was the U.S. premiere of the Saxdor 340 GTWA, the brand’s first walkaround model. Chief Product Officer Daniel Scharf emphasized that the 340 isn’t just another adventure boat—it reimagines the segment with its expansive terraces, multi-functional lounging areas, and clever use of space.
“The sensation of the boat’s size changes completely when you open the terraces,” Scharf explained. “We’ve designed it so that people can move around differently, maximizing both comfort and usability.”

The 340 Walkaround includes a spacious bow area that converts into a sunbed, an aft sunbathing space that doubles as a second cabin, and an openable aft window that connects the wheelhouse to the aft deck. While production is still ramping up, Saxdor expects to deliver the first units to the U.S. in Q3 2025, with demand already high.
The Fathom® e-Power
Beyond its sleek designs, Saxdor is making strides in sustainability and efficiency. At the Düsseldorf International Boat Show earlier this year, the company introduced the Fathom® e-Power system on the Saxdor 400 GTC. This system uses an integrated 48V lithium-ion battery pack charged directly by the propulsion engines. It delivers consistent, high-capacity power for onboard amenities and removes the need for a separate generator.

This setup reduces weight, lowers emissions, and simplifies maintenance. It also supports better energy management, so users can enjoy comfort features without worrying about battery depletion or generator noise.
It's truly revolutionary...you don't need the extra diesel generator. You don't need extra fuel, you know, the extra maintenance. We get 10 kilowatts of power out of these two engines without breaking a sweat."

This approach aligns with Saxdor’s philosophy of keeping boats lightweight and efficient, without the added weight and emissions of diesel-powered generators. The brand is the first European boatbuilder to implement this technology.
The U.S. Market and Future Growth
With 35% of its sales coming from the U.S., Saxdor sees North America as a cornerstone of its future growth. While Europe still holds a slight edge at 40% of sales, the company expects the U.S. to gain even more traction as it strengthens partnerships and expands its presence. Key to this strategy is MarineMax, Saxdor’s U.S. distributor, which has played a crucial role in introducing the brand to American buyers. Saxdor has also appointed Keith Miller as a factory representative, ensuring customers and dealers have direct access to brand expertise and test drive opportunities.

Financially, Saxdor is in a strong position. The company reported €110 million in revenue for 2024 and is on track to reach €175 million in 2025, reflecting a 60% year-on-year growth rate. Impressively, the company has remained profitable since 2021, even amid rapid expansion. With new models on the horizon—including the upcoming Saxdor 460, set to be the brand’s flagship—there’s no sign of slowing down.
“Our founder, Sakari Mattila, never sleeps,” said Salenius. “There’s always something new on the way.”

Despite its rapid growth, Saxdor remains committed to exclusivity. “We always produce a bit less than what we have demand for,” said Salenius. “We’re never going to flood the market—we want to keep our audience hungry.” This strategy has kept Saxdor boats highly sought-after, with models selling out well in advance. The company is already fully booked for 2025, evidencing both their popularity and the effectiveness of their controlled production model.
