Laurens Last, founder of the TSAL Family Office, brings with him a wealth of experience in manufacturing and international business development.
Record-Breaking Performance Signals Strong Foundation
The acquisition follows a record-breaking year for Heesen. In 2024, the shipyard reported revenues of €209 million and an EBITDA of €17 million. With this solid foundation, Heesen is poised to expand its reach in key international markets and continue pushing the boundaries of yacht design and performance.

Heesen represents the pinnacle of Dutch engineering and maritime craftsmanship. I am honoured to take the ownership and ensure the brand continues to flourish for generations to come.”
Heesen Yachts
A lifelong yachtsman, Last’s personal passion for the sea and extensive business expertise are expected to strengthen Heesen’s global presence while preserving the craftsmanship and innovation for which the brand is known.
CEO of Heesen Yachts, Niels Vaessen, welcomed the new ownership, stating, “We are thrilled to welcome Laurens Last to the Heesen family. His profile is a perfect fit: a successful Dutch entrepreneur with a genuine passion for yachting. His vision and commitment will enable us to preserve the legacy our clients value while propelling Heesen into an exciting future.”
A Return to Dutch Ownership
Heesen remains the only fully integrated yacht builder in the Netherlands, with a state-of-the-art shipyard and an in-house luxury interior division. Controlling every stage of the construction process - from concept and engineering to final outfitting - allows Heesen to maintain exceptional quality, efficiency and a seamless client experience.
With the return to Dutch ownership, the shipyard’s commitment to craftsmanship, advanced technology, and bespoke yacht design is set to deepen. Under Last’s leadership, Heesen is positioned to build on its proud legacy while preparing for a new phase of stable growth and global expansion.
New Projects Signal Bright Future
The change in ownership comes at a time when Heesen’s order book shows no signs of slowing down, with many notable projects currently for sale. Among the yachts in build is Project Ceres, a 60m steel and aluminium motor yacht due for delivery in 2027. Designed by Omega Architects, she will accommodate 12 guests across six suites and offer a range of 4,500 nautical miles. She is part of the Heesen 60m Steel series and has a price upon request.

Also set to join the fleet in 2027 is 57m Project Evita. With exteriors by Omega Architects and interiors by Harrison Eidsgaard, she is expected to reach 22 knots and features a flexible six-cabin layout, including a generous VIP suite. Part of the Heesen 5700 Aluminium, she is on the market with Heesen and currently asking €69,900,000.

Nearer completion is Project Agnetha, launched in March 2025 and due to be delivered later this year. Part of Heesen’s established 55m Steel series, she pairs bold exterior lines with interiors by LUCA DINI Design & Architecture. On board, guests will find a beach club with a wellness area and sauna, as well as a sundeck complete with a jacuzzi and bar - a layout designed with both relaxation and style in mind. The yacht for sale is currently asking €56,900,000.
As Heesen embarks on this next chapter, the focus remains clear: to deliver unique, world-class yachts that stand at the forefront of the industry.
