The 55m Steel is built in the Netherlands by Heesen with a multi-award winning international design team, exterior styling by Omega Architects from the Netherlands and interior design by Italy's LUCA DINI Design & Architecture. The 55m/180'5" superyacht constructed in steel can sleep up to twelve guests in six cabins. Available with only one option for inboard engines.
The models in this range have been in production for over 10 years, so you can be assured that each 55m Steel is built on a proven platform of success. Production of the first generation Heesen 55m started in 2013 and ran for over 10 years. The second and latest generation Heesen 55m Steel was announced in 2024.
The latest generation can comfortably maintain a cruising speed of 13 knots via its twin 1,340hp MTU 8V 4000 M63 engines. In terms of range, the Heesen 55m Steel has a standard range of 4,500 nautical miles (nm). The Gen 2 matches performance of its predecessor, with just an 1 Knot difference between their cruising speeds, and they are the same in terms of range.
