Market Price Insight
YachtBuyer’s Market Watch reports that there is currently only one pre-owned RP97 yacht for sale globally, built in 2009. It has a current asking price of €3.9 million. Being 16 years old, this vessel continues to hold its value thanks to its combination of luxury, performance, and timeless design. However, the launch of the Horizon RP100 in 2020 impacted the pricing of the Horizon RP97, as the newer model introduced updated features, cutting-edge technology, and a more contemporary design that shifted buyer demand. This has contributed to a more competitive pricing range for the RP97 models, highlighting how new Yacht launches influence the market for earlier generations.

These yachts spend an average of 1316 days on the market, reflecting a slow turnover rate for superyachts in this size segment. Over the same period, the asking price shows a notable decline of 17.5%, dropping from the initial price. This substantial reduction reflects market adjustments and potentially presents an opportunity for buyers seeking quality vessels at more competitive prices. Interestingly, this level of change is below the average price fluctuation for this size of superyacht, indicating a stable position in the market. These yachts were offered for sale primarily around Hong Kong and French Polynesia.
