Launched in 2018 and refitted in 2024, Calliope is part of the Numarine 32 XP series. The Numarine vessel was designed by Can Yalman, who handled both the exterior and interior, with naval architecture by Umberto Tagliavini, a longtime collaborator of Numarine.
Calliope reflects the growing demand for compact explorer yachts that balance rugged styling with onboard comfort. Her steel hull and composite superstructure sit on a wide 8.0-metre beam, lending her both volume and stability. With a gross tonnage of 299GT, she punches above her length in terms of space and interior volume.
The interior of the superyacht has a warm, low-key elegance. Natural light plays a key role, particularly in the main saloon, where large windows pull the outside in. The palette favours light woods, neutral tones, and simple textures. Furnishings feel robust without being heavy, in keeping with the yacht’s adventurous intent. There’s a sense of calm and openness, aided by high ceilings and uncluttered layouts.

On deck, the expedition yacht's design prioritises functionality without losing sight of style. The angular lines and vertical bow give Calliope a purposeful silhouette, but the profile remains proportionate. A standout feature is the generous aft, which offers space for lounging, dining, or carrying a tender.

Forward of the wheelhouse is another large guest space with sunpads and views ahead. The sundeck provides an additional outdoor area with a bar and optional jacuzzi, suitable for long days at anchor.

Accommodation on the yacht is arranged across five cabins for 10 guests, including a full-beam master suite on the main deck with panoramic windows. The remaining guest cabins sit on the lower deck, made up of two doubles and two twins, all with en suite bathrooms. Crew quarters for six are located forward, with discreet access for service and operations.

Performance comes from twin CAT C18 engines, giving her a top speed of 14 knots and a cruising speed of 11 knots. With a shallow draft of just 2.0 metres, Calliope is well-suited to exploring coastal areas and island chains. Her steel hull and long range also make her capable of extended offshore passages. The 32 XP series is known for combining explorer-style construction with quiet operation and a low noise profile, which appeals to owners looking for long-distance cruising without sacrificing comfort.

According to YachtBuyer MarketWatch, only five yachts in the 32 XP series have been delivered so far. Sisterships include Ray (2025), Masha (2020), Q.M. (2019), and Marla (2017), with each model tailored slightly to individual owner preferences. The series has built a reputation for offering robust build quality, high internal volume, and a user-friendly layout in a size bracket that remains manageable for private use or charter.
According to YachtBuyer Market Watch, Calliope was last asking $9,950,000.
