Astondoa completes first hull of new AS8 model

The 25m (83’) AS8 flybridge yacht comes with a spacious, ultra-modern main deck and four guest cabins with en-suites and wardrobes.

Astondoa has revealed all-new details of its AS8 flybridge yacht model, after finishing construction of its first hull, ‘So So Nice’.

The 25m (83’) superyacht will make her global premiere at the 2020 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, which runs from 28th October to 1st November, after being handed over to an American Owner earlier this year.

Penned in-house, the AS8 is the flagship of the Spanish shipyard’s Flybridge range, combining the line’s signature, sporty-looking exterior with highly fashionable interior design and generous amounts of space.

The yacht can accommodate eight guests in four cabins, each of which comes with an en-suite and its own dedicated wardrobe space. Unlike on many yachts for sale, the main deck interior is comprised of one large open space, making for a roomy main salon that’s barely disconnected from the dining area and, forward, the wheelhouse.

The 25m (83') AS8 is a flybridge model with a spacious interior and plenty of dynamic spaces outside.
The Owner's cabin take up the full beam and, like every other cabin, has an en-suite and wardrobe.
The main salon has glass all around for a panoramic ocean view.
The main salon and cockpit are connected by wide sliding doors aft.

The ceiling-high windows and huge sliding doors aft mean that every side gives a gorgeous ocean view, while also taking in vast amounts of sunlight to create a natural and sociable atmosphere. The space also comes with a widescreen TV to port, as well as a hyper-modern, white and pale-grey colour scheme.

Outside, the foredeck is an area for sunbathing and socialising, boasting an innovative sunpad/sofa combination forward. Aft is a cockpit that’s kept in the shade beneath the flybridge, with intimate space for dining and relaxing.

Up the portside steps, the flybridge is a large and dynamic area. Like on many a flybridge yacht available to buy, the forward half is half-shielded from the sun by a hard top. So, guests get a seating area with a bar, while, aft, is deck space for sun loungers.

The AS8 is powered by a pair of 1,600hp V12 engines, giving it a total power output of 3,200hp and a 32-knot top speed. If they’d like, Owners can choose as an option to give them a boost to 1,900hp apiece.
