Bering Yachts lays keel for the first B60 CAT to be sold

Following the reveal of a new line of multihull boats and the unveiling of the B60 CAT model at the 2024 Palm Beach International Boat Show, Bering Yachts has begun construction of its first liveaboard transatlantic catamaran at the builder’s shipyard in Antalya, Turkey.

With a length of 18.9m (62ft) and a beam of 8.6m, the 62.8-ton catamaran is said to offer excellent liveaboard exploration capabilities.

Owners can choose a closed flybridge, providing a private relaxation area accessible via open-air stairs. The main deck features a multifunctional 50-square-meter interior space, comprising a lounge with a high/low table, a well-equipped galley with a bar, and a large dining area.

A generous 27.7-square-meter boat deck serves as storage for tender boats or water toys, while a 10-square-meter swimming platform on the lower deck offers an enticing sea recreational area that can be raised to extend the cockpit.

The spacious master bedroom — created by merging two smaller cabins — is complemented by two guest staterooms and a crew cabin, resulting in a versatile four-cabin layout. Alternatively, owners can choose from five and six-cabin configurations if they desire.

Powered by two Cummins engines, the B60 CAT achieves cruise speeds of 12 to 13 knots and a maximum speed of 15 knots. With a range of approximately 3,000nm and a draft of 1.4m (4.59ft), the vessel can easily navigate the Caribbean, coastal waters, and inland bodies of water inaccessible to deeper-draft vessels.

Many people like the idea of a multihull, and we love it as well. Being made of aluminum and having two hulls, this boat will possess all the qualities Bering’s vessels are known for exploration capabilities, space, and exceptional craftsmanship. You will feel the same safety, comfort, and quality of life aboard.”
