Bilgin Yachts announces technical launch of first 52m Bilgin 170

At an event held at the West Istanbul Marina, Turkey on February 14, 2024, Bilgin Yachts celebrated the technical launch of its inaugural 52m (170ft) vessel, the Bilgin 170.

Collaborating with partners, Unique Yacht Design from Turkey and Hot Lab from Italy, the Bilgin Yachts vessel boasts a generous layout, accommodating up to 12 guests and nine crew members. The owner's suite, situated on the bridge deck, offers a high level of comfort and luxury. With one of the largest sundecks in its size range, the yacht features a jacuzzi, dining area, and bar, providing the ultimate setting for relaxation and entertainment.

Designed by Emrecan Özgün, the Bilgin 170 series epitomizes innovation and craftsmanship. Özgün's visionary exterior design aims to enhance the yacht's spaciousness and functionality, creating an enjoyable environment for guests to enjoy.

Harnessing insights from previous models, the Bilgin 170 series promises a captivating blend of style and functionality. From its elegant exterior lines to its cleverly designed interior spaces, every detail is crafted to elevate the yachting experience.

The hull configuration is displacement, constructed from steel, while the superstructure is made of aluminum. With its LOA of 52m (170ft) the yacht offers generous proportions, backed by a beam of 9.25m (30.35ft) and a draught at full load of 2.60m (8.53ft). Despite its size, the yacht maintains a gross tonnage of 499GT.

The fuel capacity is substantial, at 55,000 liters (14,529 gallons), with a water capacity of 11,000 liters (2,905 gallons). Propelled by CAT C32 main engines generating 2x1,450hp at 2,150rpm, the Bilgin 170 can achieve a maximum speed of 16 knots and a cruising speed of 10 knots over 5,000nm.
