Gulf Craft has announced its first Majesty 120 has been delivered to her new Owner, a Kazakhstani businessman.
The 37m (137ft) superyacht distinguishes itself from the rest of the UAE-based yard’s fleet by being the first Majesty model to feature an almost entirely electrically operated service on board. Everything bar the engines and generators are electrically powered which results in a significant reduction of noise alongside less maintenance requirements and reduced likelihood of mechanical issues.
Mohammed Hussein Alshaali, Chairman of Gulf Craft, explained more about the innovative power system: “Since we announced Majesty 120 two years ago, we have been focused on creating a true masterpiece in her class - both in her design and performance. Our commitment to innovation, led by a team of in-house professionals, reflects in Majesty 120, which not only embraces electrical systems but has incorporated unique and flexible design features.”
“Moving to electrically powered systems is aligned with our vision to be the leader in the industry and build revolutionary yachts that transform the future. We are confident that Majesty 120 will set trends as a superyacht suited for marine lifestyle enthusiasts across the world.”
The Majesty 120 has been designed as a compact edition of Gulf Craft’s award-winning Majesty 140 model. Gulf Craft’s own in-house team is responsible for her naval architecture and exterior design, one of the highlights of which is a spacious sundeck the yard claims is 30 percent larger than other yachts in her class.
Another interesting design approach is the asymmetrical styling of the five staterooms that can accommodate up to 11 guests. Elsewhere she features a jacuzzi and hybrid beach club that doubles up as a storage unit for tenders.
The tri-deck superyacht was first announced at the Monaco Yacht Show in 2019. She is now preparing to leave the UAE to sail to Turkey before continuing to explore the Mediterranean waters for the rest of the year.
Gulf Craft has collaborated with the Cristiano Gatto Design Studio on the interiors for the Majesty 120. They are also working with the award-winning Italian design studio on their flagship Majesty 175 superyacht. Set for delivery this year, the Majesty 175 is the world’s largest composite production superyacht.
A further five Gulf Craft yachts are planned for delivery in 2021. They will add to an impressive fleet of almost 100 yachts built in the past 25 years. To explore its range fully view all Gulf Craft yachts for sale.
