VIDEO: Overmarine release details of ‘revolutionary’ new Mangusta Oceano 39

The new model features a unique three-level beach club and expansive use of glass.

Overmarine has unveiled details of its new 39m (128ft) yacht, the Mangusta Oceano 39, which the builder claims ‘doesn’t resemble anything else in the current market’.

Dubbed a "glass villa" the three-deck superyacht includes a unique three-level beach club, voluminous exterior spaces, flush decks and huge sliding doors. The expansive use of glass and open-plan layout means guests are in constant direct contact with the sea. Overmarine has described the new yacht as "revolutionary in terms of space, style and lifestyle."

The sub-299 GT yacht was introduced following numerous requests from clients to design a new three-deck platform smaller than the entry-level Oceano 43. Overmarine began working with designer Alberto Mancini to create a modern and unique vessel with the comfort and features of something larger.

Other notable features include a glass wheelhouse and an infinity pool with a partially transparent base that allows natural light to flood into the Owner’s stateroom. The interiors are said to be "clean, sophisticated and with a unique character", emphasizing the concept of natural light and clear spaces.

The Oceano 39 comes equipped with noiseless dual propulsion which has a maximum speed of 16 knots for the displacement version and 21 knots on the fast displacement version.

More details will be released over the coming months.

Overmarine’s Mangusta Oceano superyachts have all the hallmarks of its traditional design and style, but set themselves apart from many of their competitors with cruising ranges that are comparable to many traditional explorer yachts, often of up to 5,000nm.

Four Mangusta Oceano 43s have been delivered since 2017, with a fifth hull in the order book and set to be delivered this year. In fact 2021 looks set to be a busy year for Overmarine with 12 yachts set for delivery, including two models in the Oceano 50 range.
