Yacht lovers were given the first details of Riva’s new four-deck motor yacht, the 39.62m (130ft) 130 Bellissima, at the Miami International Boat Show last week.
The Italian yard used the event to reveal the name of the project, which means beautiful in Italian, and to release a video teaser of the new yacht, which boasts sharp lines typical of the yard. It also announced the first 130 Bellissima has been sold to an American buyer and construction is already underway at its La Specia headquarters in Italy.
Details of the yacht are scarce, but it is known her interior and exterior design comes from Officina Italiana Design, whom Riva has collaborated with on all its modern-era motor yachts. The video teaser also seemed to reveal floor-to-ceiling glass along the main and upper decks.
At 39.62m (130ft) the 130 Bellissima will stand behind only the 49m (161ft) 50Metri in terms of size in Riva’s fleet of yachts. The 50Metri however is part of Riva’s Superyacht Division, whereas the 130 Bellissima is part of its longstanding Yachts division, comprised of open, flybridge and sportfly yachts
Riva is part of the Ferretti Group, but has a style and character very much of its own, with a classically Italian look and feel, something it seems the 130 Bellissima is also set to demonstrate.
According to YachtBuyer intelligence Riva has delivered over 100 yachts of above 25m (82ft) in the past decade and it has a further 21 yachts in its order book and set to be delivered by the end of next year. To explore its impressive fleet in more detail you can view all Riva yachts for sale.
