Riva Residenze: The World’s First Ever Yacht-Branded Apartment Complex

Riva branches out into the luxury living sector with the launch of Riva Residenze, a 20-story apartment complex situated in the heart of Fort Lauderdale, boasting the builder's signature design aesthetic: inside and out.

Italian yacht builder Riva is set to expand its brand experience beyond the water with the launch of Riva Residenze, a new luxury apartment complex designed to bring the company's signature superyacht style into the world of high-end living.

Revealed at FLIBS 2024 and marking the first yacht-branded apartment complex of its kind globally, the inaugural Riva Residenze will be located at 3019 Harbor Drive between the Intracoastal Waterway and the beach in Fort Lauderdale, near the Ferretti Group America Showroom.

Working in collaboration with Ocean Harbor Holdings, WellDuo, Vertical Developments, and GCF Development, the 20-story residential tower will feature 36 apartments, each reflecting Riva's distinctive aesthetic. Giuseppina Arena, a distinguished interior designer known for her expertise in luxury superyacht interiors, has been selected to lead the design of Riva Residenze, incorporating elements typical of Riva's exquisite yachts.

The complex will house residences ranging from three to six bedrooms, along with two penthouses, each offering between 2,000 and 6,000 square feet of luxurious living space. The apartments — starting at $3,500,000 — are designed with private elevator foyers and boast ceiling heights of 10-14ft, complemented by floor-to-ceiling windows that provide ample natural light. Residents will enjoy customizable kitchens designed in Italy, complete with high-end Gaggenau appliances, as well as master bathrooms inspired by spa-like environments.

The architecture of Riva Residenze is led by Arquitectonica and seamlessly integrates design elements inspired by the yachting world. This unique water-inspired aesthetic results in a sleek, modern look that echoes the elegance and sophistication of superyachts.

Reflecting a lifestyle centered around water, Riva Residenze includes an exclusive in-house marina with seven yacht slips accommodating vessels up to 20m (65ft), along with a dedicated slip for arrivals and departures. The waterfront deck also features outdoor seating, hammocks, lounge chairs, and a private dining area. Additionally, residents have access to a surf room equipped with an outdoor shower and wet/dry storage, perfect for storing stand-up paddleboards, kayaks, and other water sports equipment.

Riva Residenze takes the Brand’s signature aesthetics – combining mahogany, steel, the color aquamarine, and timeless styling – into the luxury living sector. The quality and focus on detail that have made Riva famous are unique and universal characteristics that increase the value and appeal of every living space."

Luxury brands often venture into real estate as part of their strategy to enhance brand recognition and diversify their portfolios. This trend has gained traction, with numerous high-end companies establishing residential projects that reflect their distinctive aesthetics and values.

German car manufacturer Porsche, for example, has a branded luxury living complex located in Miami called the Porsche Design Tower. Located in the upscale Sunny Isles Beach neighborhood, the tower reflects Porsche's commitment to quality and style, with apartments featuring European cabinetry, Poggenpohl kitchens, Miele appliances, and Dornbracht fixtures.

The standout feature of the complex, however, is the "Dezervator”, a car elevator named after developer Gil Dezer. This unique system allows residents to transport their vehicles directly to their private sky garages adjacent to their apartments. Each of the 132 units in the 60-story building comes with its own garage, making it a dream residence for car enthusiasts.
