This is the Benetti Beyond 37M Never Say Never Again, a masterclass in smart design. When this series launched, it was one of the most groundbreaking yachts Benetti had ever built.
At 37 metres, it might not sound enormous, but with a gross tonnage of over 400GT, it has the interior volume of a 50-metre yacht - a fantastic achievement in space optimisation. It’s spread over four decks, built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, and powered by a Siemens diesel-electric propulsion system. But it's how the space has been used. Every inch has been maximised to create something that feels far larger than it looks.

The B.Yond 37m was the first in a series of three models with the 40m and the 57m coming later. A bold concept that was originally put together by the late Stefano Righini, a designer responsible for over 5,500 boats. The idea was to pack a four-deck layout into just 37 metres and to make a yacht built for long-range cruising in an ecologically sound manner. The 37m has delivered an impressive 500GT, something usually only seen in yachts around 50m.

E-MODE: Smart, Green Cruising
To achieve the brief, the B.Yond 37M is powered by a Siemens E-Mode system. It’s designed to adapt to different cruising needs, switching between different power sources to cut emissions, reduce fuel consumption, and extend range. In Eco Cruise Mode, the yacht can run in near silence at low speeds, while in Zero Emission Mode, it runs purely on battery power, with both the engines and generators switched off. In Extended Range Mode, it runs with just one diesel engine and a genset, claiming to cut engine hours by 50%. There’s also built-in redundancy, in case of blackouts and to aid energy distribution, while peak energy demand is handled by batteries, reducing strain on the generators.

Timeless Interiors with a Personal Touch
Inside, the pared-back styling by Mauro Izzo provides a clean slate for owners to make the space their own. The approach was for simplicity and comfort. Furnishings were chosen from Giorgetti to set this tone - timeless furniture with a solid quality that won't overwhelm the room. Every piece was chosen to encourage relaxation and take in the seascape. The layout itself encourages privacy and relaxation by zoning the interior. Service areas are mainly on the lower deck, living spaces on the upper decks above, and completely separate crew and guest staircases.
This upper deck is a seriously impressive bit of design. There's an unbroken sightline running through from the aft dining table all the way to the foredeck hot tub, with the bridge deck above and the main deck below. This layout has kept the entire space feeling open and connected. It’s brilliantly effective, making this one of the best social spaces on board. There’s comfortable lounge seating, plenty of room to relax, and a bar area to port, nicely positioned to serve guests both inside and out in the cockpit. The whole area feels like one continuous living space, designed for entertaining and easy living.

This central staircase connects all the decks, but what’s clever is how well it fits into the interior. Benetti has used glass balustrades and open treads, so it doesn’t take over the space or feel like it’s in the way. Instead, it subtly integrates across the levels, especially in the saloon, where the glass keeps everything feeling open and maintains the sightline through.
This dining area is a prime spot, positioned well forward. You’re indoors, fully protected, but also surrounded by wonderful views next to the beautifully curved doors and huge windows. The lighting design above is also nicely detailed. There’s a servery, so the crew can serve directly at the table, with a crew pantry nearby and easy access to the crew spaces.

Owner's Cabin
The owner has their own deck on the B.Yond 37m. Step through the cabin door, past the ensuite and a walk-in wardrobe and you’re then into the main cabin, which has a brilliant arrangement. Over to port, there’s a sofa and a desk, while to starboard, the double bed sits right next to a huge picture window. This will give you uninterrupted sea views from the moment you wake up.
But it gets better - this layout also creates a completely private outdoor terrace for the owner. There’s no side access, no way for guests or crew to get here unless they come through the cabin itself, meaning it’s totally private. The electric doors can be pinned open too, letting in the sound of the sea as you lie in bed in the morning. And from this elevated position, the whole setup feels properly special.
There's also an incredible ensuite. Beautiful marble surfaces, twin sinks, and in the shower is a wonderful view. Given how high up you are, the views from here when you’re out at sea must be spectacular.

The main deck is entirely dedicated to guest living space. This is where you’ll find the four guest cabins, but it’s more than just sleeping quarters as there’s a fantastic communal area that ties it all together. A big TV, a comfortable sofa, and a small table make it a great spot for relaxing or playing cards.
Then there’s this brilliant viewing platform, with four chairs lined up right under a massive picture window. For families or groups on board, it’s a shared space that feels both sociable and private, right in the middle of the accommodation. There’s crew access on one side, along with a dumbwaiter, so food and drinks can be sent up quickly.

Forward, are two identical doubles. Comfortable, quiet, and bright, thanks to a big window for good natural light, they're lovely spaces Every guest cabin comes with a private bathroom, beautifully fitted out and doubling as a mini walk-in wardrobe. It’s a smart piece of design that makes these cabins feel more like luxury suites than regular cabins.

Amidships, there are two more double cabins, which are identical, though slightly larger than the forward cabins. The design is beautifully executed, with a refined, understated style. The bathroom is neatly tucked away, and a long run of wardrobes blends subtly into the cabin, providing plenty of storage without disrupting the clean lines of the space.

But there’s one more surprise on the lower deck. Right next to the wine store and aft of the crew accommodation, you’ll find something unexpected: a gym. Normally, this would be a sixth cabin, and you can still see the built-in wardrobes, but the owner wanted something different. Swapping it out for a gym works quite well - there’s lots of space for equipment, and with a bathroom already in here, it’s a bonus living area you wouldn’t usually get.

One of the most interesting things about the B.Yond series is the option for diesel-electric hybrid drive. This will combine conventional MAN diesel engines with electric motors, and link them to a shaft drive and propellers. On top of that, there are two generators and a massive battery bank, giving you multiple ways to run the yacht depending on your needs.
You’ve got diesel-only mode, which runs like a traditional yacht, but there’s also enhanced comfort mode, where the generators power the electric motors instead of the main engines, making for a quieter ride. Then there’s the skipper’s favourite mode, where a single engine powers both electric motors - reducing wear by alternating between engines while also keeping the generator load-free. It’s efficient, quiet, and helps balance out running hours across the machinery.
And if you really want peace and quiet, you can switch to full-electric mode. With that huge battery bank, the yacht can sit at anchor for seven or eight hours, running air conditioning, stabilisers, and all hotel services with no generator noise at all. It completely changes the onboard experience, making time at anchor far more relaxing. It’s an impressive system, though it doesn’t come cheap - around €2 million - but according to the skipper, it’s a game-changer for running a yacht of this size.

Just around the corner from the bridge is a watch cabin with a single berth and a bathroom. This sort of thing is always a good addition, giving the crew somewhere close by to rest between shifts while staying within easy reach when the yacht is underway.
As for performance, she cruises at around 10 knots, and in diesel-only mode, that translates to a staggering 5,500nm range. This is a yacht that’s built to go the distance.
For the beach club, a big aft hatch drops down, connecting it to the swim platform. Over on one side, you’ve got a shower, and on the other - one of the coolest features on board - a sauna. Not literally cool, of course, but a seriously nice touch for a yacht of this size.

Unlike most yachts, the tender garage is actually on the main deck on the B.Yond 37m. Looking from the aft, it sort of looks like it's on a mezzanine in between the decks; to access this area there are steps up from the swim platform and then over a landing spot and down some steps into the tender garage.
It’s a semi-open space, so it’s not fully enclosed, making it bright, well-ventilated, and a great spot to work. It’s also nicely contained, with the tender and gear secure but still easily accessible. There’s a Williams jet tender over on this side, and you’ve got drop-down platforms on both sides, so the tender or water toys are side-launched.
Up the stairs from here is the cockpit, which has a great mix of low-slung, relaxed seating wet bar and a dining table, with wide opening doors leading into the upper deck saloon.

Foredeck
The saloon has full use of the forward deck as another outdoor living space. Hit the button to open the doors, step straight outside, and you’re in a fantastic spot. There's a hot tub, surrounded by sunbathing space, with the option of putting up a canopy for a bit of shade, and some freestanding furniture.
The space can be customised - swap out the hot tub for an extended sunbathing area instead. Either way, it works brilliantly, and the way it flows directly from the interior makes it an absolute treat to have on board.

Sun Deck
There’s no external access to the sundeck - you can only get up here from inside the yacht. But once you’re there, it’s a fantastic space. They’ve made full use of the beam, with a huge bar. It’s split across the deck, with the grill positioned forward, a big prep area, and a natural stone countertop - properly heavy, and beautifully finished. There’s plenty of seating and sunbathing space toward the back, plus a dining table right in the middle, giving you elevated views and a lovely breeze rolling across the deck.
Right up front, the bar is arranged forward, finished in the same high-end stone, with three bar stools positioned perfectly to take in the view over the bow. Imagine sitting here with a drink, the breeze on your face, watching the world glide by as the yacht moves through the water. It’s a brilliant spot - easily my favourite area on board.

Despite all the high-tech wizardry Siemens has packed into the diesel-electric system, everything down here feels surprisingly familiar. The engines sit on either side, and the only real giveaway that this setup is different is the electric motors lined up just aft of the engines. Otherwise, it’s a brilliantly spacious engine room with full standing headroom, which isn’t always a given in a space like this.

Our Verdict
The looks of the B.Yond 37m take some getting used and her towering design will likely put a fair bit of pressure on the stabilisers in a swell. If you can see past its ungainly profile, however, there is so much to enjoy about this design. For its length, nothing can touch it for living space but it's the way the space is used that is so intelligent. The main deck guest accommodation, the amazing bow-to-stern living area on the main deck and the private owner's deck are just some of the highlights. Mix in the clever hybrid system and Benetti has produced one of the most forward-thinking 37m yachts of the last decade.

Rivals to Consider
The Maiora 36 Exuma has a top speed of 32 knots thanks to its muscular 3 x 2,000hp MAN V12-2000 engines. This speed demon leaves the Benetti B.Yond 37M in its wake, which prioritises a leisurely, long cruising experience over pace. Its shallow draft of 1.45 meters is a smart feature, allowing for explorations in shallower waters, so it's not all about speed. The yacht also features a customisable interior layout, allowing owners to configure spaces to suit their needs.
Then there's the Numarine 37 XP, which proves itself on extended voyages. It offers an incredible range of 6,000 nautical miles at 8 knots, matching the Benetti's capabilities in this sector. With a hefty gross tonnage of 345GT, the Numarine 37 XP provides a spacious and comfortable experience, perfect for long-distance travels. It also comes with an optional hybrid propulsion system for enhanced efficiency and reduced emissions.
The Sirena 118, on the other hand, straddles the line between speed and luxury, featuring a cruising speed of 15 knots and a top speed of 21 knots. Designed by Germán Frers, the yacht features a fast-displacement hull and optional 1,900hp MAN V12 engines. It also offers six staterooms accommodating up to 12 guests, including an owner's suite with three-sided sea views and private access to the foredeck. Notably, the Sirena 118 is the largest GRP yacht built by Sirena Yachts to date.
In terms of accommodation, the Horizon RP120 and Moonen Martinique 112 cater to slightly smaller groups, accommodating 10 guests across five cabins. Despite this, they don't compromise on comfort, delivering a private and intimate atmosphere that some might find more appealing. While they can't match the Benetti B.Yond 37M's six-cabin layout for 12 guests, they still provide a stylish, flexible space for family or group getaways. The Moonen Martinique 112 also features a steel hull & aluminium superstructure while the RP120 is made fully from GRP.
