On Deck

The yacht's high sides, typical of a trawler yacht, allow for safe and easy navigation around the boat. The yacht also features a Bimini shade, seating area, and sun pads on the deck.

The flybridge is another area of the yacht that Nick is pleased with. It contains another helm station, a bar with a barbecue, an ice maker, and a fridge. He appreciates the flexibility of the seating area, which can be adjusted to create a sunbathing space, and the option to carry a dinghy and a jet ski on the back of the boat.

Interior

The yacht is designed in the trawler style, which is different from the traditional flybridge style. The yacht has a substantial size for a 55-foot boat, which is due to the trawler yacht style's upright screens that increase volume and provides large windows that allow plenty of light.

The Cranchi T55 has a galley-forward placement, which is typical of trawler yachts. This positioning allows one to make a sandwich or tea while maintaining a good watch out of the front. The helm's screens rovide an uninterrupted and impressive view. The cockpit is well-sized and there is easy access to the lower deck.

The yacht features a three-cabin layout. There is generous storage and wardrobe space in the aft master cabin and guest VIP cabin in the bow. Both cabins have ensuite bathrooms which are commended for their size and nice lighting solutions. The third cabin can be configured as two singles or a double, and it also has good headroom.

Crew Accommodation

The yacht's crew cabin is accessed from the foredeck, which, while compact, is certainly usable.  Depending on preference, this space can be used as storage or as an extra cabin for a guest.

Performance

The engine space houses twin Volvo Penta D8 IPS-800 engines with 600 horsepower each. The yacht is not a speedboat but a trawler yacht, designed for enjoying a leisurely day on the water rather than speeding down the coast. It has a maximum speed of about 21 knots and a cruising speed of about 14 knots, with a range of about 300 miles at cruising speed.

In Summary

Overall, Nick finds the Cranchi T55 to be a "really lovely place," appreciating its deviation from the normal flybridge and the successful incorporation of trawler influences. He doesn't note any significant negatives about the yacht, seeming to approve of its design and features overall.
