The Cranchi T43 is a yacht designed for long-distance gentle cruising and extended stays on board. Starting with the bathing platform, this can hold a tender and lower it into the water. The boat has a practical design with rubber sections instead of stainless steel rubbing bands.

The cockpit offers a large space with plenty of shade, and can be fully enclosed with canopies during inclement weather. The door slides and the window lifts to reveal a galley aft layout.

The deck features deep bulwarks and lighting for night-time ambiance. A seat at the front of the boat provides a lovely place to sit, and the flybridge is well-equipped and spacious.

The compact saloon area and the practical electric cooking facilities in the galley both impress. The helm position features a double helm, with instrumentation and an IPS controller to maneuver the boat. The television is hidden neatly away, and there is ample storage space, which Nick appreciates for its contribution to the liveaboard ethos of the boat.

The yacht features two large and comfortable cabins, one with a double bed and ample storage and the other with a full-beam cabin which can be optionally divided into two double cabins or one double and one single cabin. The Italian styling is wonderful along with the adequate headroom and light in the cabins. The ensuite bathrooms are also of good size and well-finished.

The boat’s engines are a pair of Volvo Penta IPS-500 engines, each with 370 horsepower. The boat has the ability to travel over a thousand miles at 5 knots.

Nick notes that there is no authentic crew cabin, as the yacht is designed for personal use. Despite this, he is generally very impressed with the Cranchi T43 Trawler’s design and functionality.
