On Deck

Nick appreciates the boat's large bathing platform that lowers hydraulically and the dual access doors.  the clever integration of the handrails and cleats into the design are commended. The cockpit features a large wraparound seating area and a folding table, which is very convenient.

On the flybridge, the central helm position has great visibility and a seating arrangement that can be converted into a sun pad. He also appreciates the barbecue and sink, and the additional storage space.

Interior

The saloon area is admired, and it is noted that it has a great connection with the cockpit, making it perfect for social gatherings. He appreciates the TV that drops away hydraulically and the ample space for storage, including a fridge and AV system.

Heading forward, Nick praises the raised steps up to the helm, which offer a great view out. The layout of the engine instrumentation and controls, as well as the Raymarine Axiom system, are impressive. He also appreciates the galley being located just two steps down from the saloon, allowing for interaction without the sight of dirty dishes.

In the spacious master cabin, there is a clever use of storage spaces. He also appreciates the ensuite with a separate shower stall. In the day heads, Nick finds the separate shower area to be an excellent feature. The guest cabin is complimented for its large opening windows and built-in TV.

Performance

The engine room is where Nick's admiration for the boat peaks. He praises the use of space and accessibility to everything, making it easy to maintain. He finds the Cummins QSB 6.7 diesel engines and conventional shafts to be a huge advantage due to their simplicity and reliability.

Nick admires the yacht's safety features, such as the valves for the generator and engines, the automatic fire extinguishers, and the backup manual pump for the bilge. He appreciates that these are all easily accessible and not possible to be buried under stuff.

In Summary

In conclusion, even though the Princess 43 is not the most modern boat in the Princess range, it is one of Nick's favorites. He appreciates its classic design, practicality, and features, hinting that it could be a potential purchase for him in the future.
