On Deck

Notably, there is a hi-lo platform at the back of the yacht that can lift about 150 kilograms, making it ideal for a small rib and an outboard engine. The massive storage locker found under the seats can also be accessed from beneath the back seat in the cockpit.

There is a wonderful aft cockpit, which is described as a large area that can be completely enclosed with canopies for a conservatory-like space. The Prestige 420 has decent side decks and a nice rail for easy navigation around the boat. On the flybridge, there is a large seating area, a barbecue, a fridge, and a sunbathing area.

Interior

The yacht features a control system for monitoring things like batteries and water tanks. The boat has an electric cooking system, which is an upgrade from the standard gas system. There are large storage areas in the galley, a drawer fridge and freezer, along with an added wine cooler.

At the helm position, there is a multi-functional display for charts, engine instrumentation, wipers, bilge pumps, trim tabs, and so on. This yacht features joystick control as well. The lower deck has two cabin options, either a darker or a grey oak finish. Both the cabins are evenly sized, and each has ensuite access, large hull windows, and plenty of storage.

Performance

The engine space houses a pair of Cummins engines, upgraded to 425 horsepower each. These give the boat a speed of over 30 knots, with a cruising speed of about 25 knots providing a range of 200 nautical miles.

In Summary

Overall, Nick seems to be quite impressed with the Prestige 420's features and upgrades, pointing out the yacht's practical layout, generous storage, and strong engine power. He believes it's a perfect size for two people to handle.
