Nick took the opportunity to explain the yacht's features while it was out of the water, showing the IPS pod drive and trim tabs. The Prestige 460S has a hi-lo bathing area which allows the platform to drop into the water to launch a tender.
The Prestige 460 comes in two versions, a sports coupé version and a flybridge version. The large cockpit at the back of the boat has a wonderful seating area under an overhang.
There are high rails on the side decks of the boat and the sunbathing loungers at the foredeck. He peeked into a hatch under the floor, revealing a large storage void. There is an area under a seat which could be a crew cabin, but it is being used instead for storage.
Interior
This yacht features a galley-aft layout which links seamlessly to the cockpit, and is very beneficial for catering. The saloon area has a deeply cushioned settee and a powered table that can be extended for dining or dropped for an occasional extra berth. The roof can slide open, a feature not available on the flybridge version.
The helm has twin Raymarine screens displaying various information including engine instrumentation. The joystick control for the IPS drives can be manipulated to make the boat move as desired.
The lower deck consists of a VIP guest cabin with a berth that can be split apart, along with an ensuite day heads. The master cabin has a good size and large windows. There are various storage areas here, a sofa and a pull out dressing table.
Performance
The engines are a pair of Volvo Penta D6 IPS-600s, upgraded to 440 horsepower, giving the boat a top speed of 32 knots, cruise speed of 25 knots and a range of over 200 miles.
