The walkthrough begins at the rear, where the 585 SUV's hi-lo platform with staple rails is situated. This platform extends the cockpit to the water level, being ideal for water sports and fishing. Nick notes the practicality of this space, comparing it to a porch, veranda, and yard, emphasizing the boat's tiered outdoor areas.

There are plenty of customization options for the cockpit seating and a bar area, complete with a grill, sink, ice maker, and refrigeration.

Nick demonstrates the versatility of the aft deck seating, which can transform into a sunbathing lounge, and has the option to enclose the area with rolled-up sections. Excellent features include power hatches and robust build quality typical of Riviera, specifically solid rub rails that underscore the yacht's readiness for serious use.

On the foredeck, the clever design of the anchor dam is highlighted, preventing mud spray, and the boat's serious anchoring hardware.

Inside, the galley features abundant refrigeration and a tucked-away dining table designed for indoor eating in poor weather. Next to the hi-lo TV is a CZone system console, which allows control of the boat's functions. The layout of the indoor zones has been carefully thought out, including a raised seating area adjacent to the helm.

At the helm, Nick admires the substantial seating and the ergonomics of the controls, including the joystick for the IPS drives and the multifunction screens. There are various zones on the yacht that offer distinct social spaces, such as the forward seating area with a sliding roof.

Descending to the lower deck, there is plenty of headroom and an intelligent use of space in the VIP guest cabin with practical features, like recessed doors and ample storage. The third cabin can convert between twin and double bed configurations.

The owner's cabin is very spacious and includes thoughtful amenities, such as a coffee station, a large walk-in wardrobe, and en suite bathroom with a rainfall shower.

The lower deck also features a unique utility room, which serves as a crew cabin or storage area, with its own private access to the exterior deck, the owner's cabin and the engineering space.

The engine room features Volvo Penta IPS-1200 engines with convenient access to the IPS pods. These engines give a top speed of 35 knots, cruising at 25 knots.  At an economic speed of 6 knots, a range of 2,000 nautical miles can be achieved.

Nick's appreciation for the yacht is clear throughout the tour; he admires the vessel's thoughtful design, which caters to boaters who demand both luxury and utility. Nick views the Riviera 585 SUV as a "proper boaters boat," a sentiment echoed by the yacht's popularity, with over 40 sold in six months.
