Every journey begins with the first step, so we’ve made the 45 Open Flybridge supremely easy to board. Simply walk onto the wide boarding platform, unlatch the transom door and you’re in the spacious, versatile cockpit space.

If you ever require a textbook example of Riviera’s renowned practicality and attention to detail, you’ll discover it here. For a start, the cockpit is completely self-draining and fitted with a reinforced plate in the floor making it easy to fit a game fishing chair or cockpit table. All floor hatches are gas strut assisted, lockable and fitted with rubber seals. There is also a deep, removable fish box with pump out facility concealed in the cockpit floor, although we will forgive you for not knowing it’s there.

In fact, with a surfeit of clever, in-built design flexibility, the 45 Open Flybridge can be simply transformed into the complete angler’s craft by outfitting the cockpit space with a live bait transom tank, outriggers, heavy-duty rod holders, even a game tower and more.

However, you may decide to focus on family cruising and instruct us to outfit your cockpit accordingly. That means stepping out onto skilfully mastered teak decking, selecting your preferred outdoor fabric for the deeply comfortable mezzanine lounge and specifying a handcrafted cockpit table and occasional furniture to make the most of alfresco, on water living.

Already you’re picturing memorable entertaining occasions out here, glorious afternoon sundowners, dinners under a canopy of stars. You will never see your friends and loved ones so contented and happy.

And as you lightly braise the delicacies on the optional gourmet barbecue’s hotplate or offer more refreshments from the refrigerated cockpit cool box, you realise you too are experiencing life at its best.
