Best of Boats (BoB) Awards Winners

The Best of Boats Awards are based around user-orientated categories and focus on the practical needs of yacht owners and boaters. Held in Germany, the awards run in November during the Boat and Fun Berlin Boat Show.

About the Best of Boats (BoB) Awards

Created in 2014 by a group of boat journalists from around the world who shared a common ground of testing the latest boats for sale and finding solutions to meet the needs of yacht Owners, the Best of Boats (BoB) Awards are promoted as being focused on the 'boaters' point of view.

Over the years, the Best of Boats (BoB) Awards has grown into a prestigious event within the yachting industry, reflecting diverse boating experiences.

Bavaria SR36 - 2022 BoB winner

Each year, hundreds of new boat models from cruisers to trawlers and flybridge boats undergo rigorous, full-scale testing by the jury to determine the winners. The award ceremony has traditionally been held every November in Berlin, aligning with the Boat & Fun Berlin show, further cementing its status as a key event in the boating industry.

Best of Boats (BoB) Awards accolades

Hundreds of boats are tested each year by the panel of boat testers around the globe and only then are the final nominations chosen.

The four categories of awards presented during the gala evening are;

Best for Beginners
Best for Family
Best for Fun
Best for Travel

As a well-established award ceremony, the annual event invites around 18 finalists with a panel of 16 judges making the final decision.

Previous winners at the Best of Boats (BoB) Awards include the 440 Marex in 2024, the Prestige M48 in 2023, and the Bavaria SR36 in 2022.
