Ancona-based Cantiere delle Marche (CdM) can justifiably lay claim to being the world’s leading builder of explorer yachts. The Italian yard was only founded in 2010 but its globe-trotting steel and aluminium displacement yachts, in the 26m to 43m bracket, have proved hugely popular and with some justification.
Combining extreme seaworthiness with real elegance, CdM places a strong emphasis on the naval architecture of its rugged explorer yachts, reasoning that its customers are mature yacht owners, interested in contents before form. Primarily a semi-custom builder, CdM also undertakes fully custom projects and operates from a large facility located on the Adriatic Coast that covers 16,000 square meters of space.
