Design & Construction
Designed around a semi-displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 7.62m beam and a 1.8m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 276 GT (Gross Tonnes).
This was the first yacht built on the CC115 design. She was delivered to her owners in September 2018.
Exterior Design
Adagio's hull and superstructure are both finished in white, with contrasting black detailing at the boot top and below the waterline, creating a visually striking appearance that remains understated. The deck, crafted from high-quality teak, not only adds to the yacht's visual appeal but also offers durability and a non-slip surface for safety.
At the stern, the Adagio features a hi-lo platform, enhancing accessibility and utility for water-based activities. This platform serves multiple purposes, from facilitating the launch of tenders to providing a direct connection to the sea for swimming and diving. Adjacent to this area, retractable tables emerge as a thoughtful addition.
Moving upwards, the aft cockpit is equipped with a substantial dining setup, capable of accommodating numerous guests in comfort. The sizeable overhang above ensures protection from the sun, making it a suitable location for meals or leisure at any time of the day.
The flybridge is equipped with a hidden helm position that offers an alternative command point. This innovative design allows for the helm to be concealed when not in use. The flybridge also boasts a significant hardtop with an opening section. For entertaining, the flybridge is outfitted with a comprehensive bar area, complete with amenities such as a sink, barbecue, fridge drawer, and ice makers. This area also features a spacious dining area and a separate. The addition of poles around the back supports a bimini that can extend out to provide shade, offering flexibility based on weather conditions.
Maneuverability is facilitated by wing stations, allowing for precise control when docking. The yacht's innovative design includes tiered sunbathing areas at the bow, intended for outdoor movie viewing with a built-in screen and projector. The foredeck includes practical features such as cleats and fairleads, along with a seating area and access to the anchor winches.
Interior Design
In the main living area, the design incorporates innovative entertainment solutions, such as television screens that descend from the ceiling. The screens can be retracted, maintaining the minimalist aesthetic of the space when not in use. The choice of decor in this area, including the artwork, reflects the yacht's overall design ethos of simplicity.
The inclusion of floor-to-ceiling windows enhances the connection with the outside environment, allowing natural light to flood the interior spaces and enabling the option to merge indoor and outdoor experiences seamlessly.
The galley is designed to cater to high standards, featuring an extensive use of stainless steel that underscores the professional-grade facilities. The presence of a pantry further supports the functionality of this space, ensuring that it serves its purpose efficiently. Adjacent to the galley, a bar area is thoughtfully laid out, incorporating a wine cooler, refrigerator, and ice maker.
The helm station is equipped with modern navigation and control systems. The use of Garmin screens that are configurable to the captain's preferences demonstrates an appreciation for the technical requirements of piloting a vessel of Adagio's caliber.
Accommodation
Adagio offers accommodation for up to 10 guests in five suites. The owner’s cabin features a walk-in wardrobe with cleverly designed doors that blend seamlessly into the surroundings. It includes a spacious bathroom equipped with twin sinks, a rainfall shower, and a separate toilet area. The cabin also boasts another walk-in wardrobe and a dressing table positioned by large windows.
Each guest cabin is equipped with essential amenities, including a dressing table, storage options, and an en-suite bathroom featuring a privacy door for the toilet, a sink, and a shower. Pocket doors in the cabins provide the flexibility to separate the sleeping area from the bathroom, enhancing the usability of the space. The guest cabins at the rear mirror each other in layout.
The yacht includes additional cabins with twin single beds and a Pullman berth. These cabins feature wardrobes, an en-suite bathroom, a dressing table, and a shower.
Adagio is capable of carrying up to six crew onboard. There are two primary crew cabins located at the front, each equipped with its own en-suite facilities. There is a third crew cabin located further back. The design also mentions the potential for a fourth crew cabin, which could be realized by reinstating a door to what is currently used as a playroom.
The crew area includes a sizeable galley replete with stainless steel fixtures and ample refrigeration, alongside pantries. The presence of laundry facilities and a mess area ensures the crew has everything needed for day-to-day living and operations aboard.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (C32 ACERT) 1,600hp engines running at 2300rpm, motor yacht Adagio is capable of reaching a top speed of 17 knots, and comfortably cruises at 12 knots. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.
